I never pap'd on Shangri La lol I only ever played mp and it was impossible. I didn't even think it was possible solo, I feel like they changed that later.

I agree SOE has a unique and interesting PaP quest but after playing the map countless times I really hate having to go through such a tedious process just to PaP

Hot take: Every PaP quest should be straightforward and accessible enough for players of any skill level. Locking a core mechanic behind a skill wall is the quickest way to turn casuals away from learning the map, and it's worse when they require a KZbin guide. Edit: I can't see where I said I couldn't do them. What I'm saying is they set the precedent that every map will be complicated and stressful and that if they look for help online people will just say skill issue

This is a fairly cold take. A big part of BO3's success is that alot of maps (not ZNS or SOE) don't make getting to PaP difficult, but unlocking everything in said map difficult.

​@2ndcalibre710 I'd say unlocking pap on ZNS is still fairly simple, all it requires is exploration and getting rid of spiderwebs. Although, I can see how it might not be intuitive to knife all the bodies in the purple water room for that part.

I think Der Riese’s novelty brings it much higher than DE in this case. When people first came to play Der Riese, PAP wasn’t something that was expected or sought out. Developers had to make it obvious and easy to find and use as an introduction. DE could have benefited from some further challenge before gaining access. Maybe even something as simple as a lockdown for every teleporter pad activation?

Hey Man, Yes I can see how it could look that way, which is why I made sure to state that the list is only my opinion and not anything objective. But I feel personally that the Der Reise PAP fits more with the maps theme and is understandably more simple since it was the first, unlike DE

The problem really comes from the fact that the Turbine is on a Timer and Not Garunteed to Stay. And then the Fog and Big Map. And the fact if it doesn't you have to circle back through that hell hole.

If you do make a video on TranZit, I've got these suggestions to not even make the map good, but simply bearable: The Jet Gun would have obvious changes, like no longer breaking, no longer being equipment but instead a main weapon, and would have the same range as the Thundergun, as it sucks in zombies in the same manner as the Gursh Device and the upgraded Wind Staff's charged shot by sending them flying towards you and preventing them from acting at all. So the way it appears in BO6. For the Lamps, all lamps will activate once the power is on, and a hole is dug, with the need for Denizens being eliminated by having the shovel in the map. As for lamp placement, two lamps exist at each bus stop, one at the point of the bus' entry, and the other at the point of the bus’ exit. The lamp at the point of entry will send players to the previous bus stop, while the lamp at the point of exit will send players to the next bus stop. Lastly one lamp exists in front of each important in-between location, such as the Prototype, the Hunter’s Cabin and Pylon. These lamps will send players to a random bus stop location. For the Bus, it can be permanently stopped at a bus stop location when needed, but also be called upon from one of these locations. Furthermore, the bus roof will now instead have a question mark at the start of the game, and a new upgrade material for the bus will come in the form of a new chalk item that allows players to copy an existing wall weapon using the chalk, and apply it to the bus For both the Power & Pack-A-Punch, neither will be required to be built, and a turbine will no longer be required to access Pack-A-Punch, but by simply turning the power on For Perks, Wall Buys, Buildable parts & anything else of substance, simple rule, nothing will be beyond the fog, everything is located in the bus stop areas(with the exception of the Prototype, Hunter's Cabin and Pylon)

Yeah it is a bit of a grey area I can’t lie, but Origins wasn’t included because it only involves turning on 6 generators (Which I count as power) and then obviously open doors. But you could probably argue for its inclusion. At which point it would definitely be around Alpha Omega in the list. But cheers for watching nonetheless!

Moon was the only map where you could make your own PaP quest. You can try for PaPed weapons before lvl 1, see how long you can last once you've reached a high round and got bored, you can even hack it to have a pee break if you're super fast

Finally someone that recognizes that VoD and DE are the same quest. People always blow DE for being so casual friendly but hate on VoD for everything you said. Also id put Blood above transit because it doesn't tell you where it is if it moves, making you run around one of the biggest maps ever to check where pack is.

Neat vid! I love playing zombies with my roommates (they r noob) and doing the packapunch quest. Giant and ascension are perfect cause its not too complicated. Love playing SoE myself but the octopi are too intimidating (maybe in the future). I think origins shoudlve been added, its kinda difficult to turn all the generators on but its simple to understand.

Plus you can make your own 'quests' there, like seeing how many points you can get before teleporting and hacking the pap to shut the gates is a fun little challenge. Still would've liked to see a mention, it's probably my favourite PaP machine in any of the games.

There's a glitch to this that makes it soooo much easier. If you place your turbine in the doorway ABOVE the hallway in just the right spot, it will stay open guaranteed. You must have a 75% health turbine atleast. I do this consistently & still do it today

It's not a glitch, it's just that the turbine has an aoe that reaches far enough. It should be easy enough for anyone to figure out that it can reach just by using the turbine a few times.

I like Shadows of Evil as it is directly tied to the quest and story. Sure you need PAP for a lot of others, but it usually just exists. like firing the rocket in Ascenion has nothing to do with gersh or anything else in the entire storyline for example.

I am shook that Dead of the Night is so high. Thematically one of the coolest but I think I've only ever unlocked pack a punch once, and the pap quest is the main reason I dislike the map. It's by far the most annoying quest imo. Only Tranzit is worse than it because of how actually unreliable it is on solo 😅 That's the only one I STRONGLY disagree with. Personally not a fan of Gorod Krovi because I suck at the map and die way more times than I'd like defending the machines from the zombies, but I still like it more than Dead of the Night because at least I consistently know what I need to do AND its cool. I just kinda suck at it lol

@@markiplier5842Hey man, the reason for Rev is because I wasn’t sure if the corruption generators turn on power in each area, or if the power is on regardless. If they do turn on power, then it probably shouldn’t be on the list. And if I had to include Origins it would be around where Alpha Omega is because of the Templars. Hope that helps :)

Voyage of Despair has to be the most underrated map in Zombies history. Every time people whine and cry about the map it's always "But it's on the Titanic, so it should be more complicated to take advantage of the Titanic lore" and "But it's too complicated" (even though it isn't). Plus, you're ranking BLOOD OF THE DEAD over Voyage of Despair. That is ridiculous. At least Voyage's PAP quest is intuitive and makes sense. I will, however, completely agree that Gorod Krovi's Easter Egg quest is near perfect.

Pressing square a few times isn’t a good pap quest, that’s just a fact. Blood has way more depth, even though that map sucks too. Also the main reason why voyage sucks isn’t because it is “too complicated” it just has the worst layout of any zombies map. It’s on a ship so they couldn’t really do much, but the reason why people wanted cool titanic lore is it would at least give it a reason for people to play.

Literally, also this ranking ignores that the PAP quest makes you explore around most, if not the whole map. Doubling as a reward for exploration and knowledge of the mechanics of the map (like draining the water).
