De Ligt was categorically Bayern's best defender last season. It's not really a debate, virtually anyone who watched Bayern last season agrees. @pietrovitale9940 Kim was easily a top 5 CB in Europe the season before last at Napoli. Elite attributes. Upamecano is a regular starter for France who also have Saliba, Konate, Kounde, as well as the likes of Pavard, Fofana (I can name even more). So, to answer your question, yes it is actually quite difficult. Upa has a bad rep due to high profile errors, but there's a reason he's first choice for France. He was even first choice alongside Varane in the World cup in 2022. It's really easy to make fun of other players to put down a United player haha!
