Gamabunta is not equal to Shukaku. Shukaku was weak when he awakened because of the jutsu he used on Gaara to control him. He was slowly growing in power while they were fighting, and even Gamabunta mentions to Naruto that they need to end the fight quickly because they won't be able to beat Shukaku once he is full power. That's why they cheat the fight and wake up Gaara.

Why would he need a summon to heal him and replenish his chakra when he has nigh infinite chakra and an insane healing factor that can bring him back from the brink of death. Not to mention he has much more powerful jutsu that he could utilize like true several thousand hands as opposed to using katsuyu as an offensive summon. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he could summon katsuyu and just never used her in the fights we saw him in due to the things i stated prior.

Katsuyu’s ability to transmit intel should make her higher. When Kakashi trained Naruto on wind style, he said shadow clones were originally designed for gathering intel, not for combat. Oftentimes, intel is more important than raw strength. Katsuyu’s ability to transmit intel makes her one of the best assets in a war.

So true.......this is some serious versatility most of the summons cannot replicate, the ability to multiply nigh endlessly, transit intel, and heal people rapidly (likely second to the nine tails chakra cloak healing factor and Hashirama's insane healing factor). Plus the ability to defend itself by spitting acid at close range. Katsuyu is a summon that can aid the entire battlefield with the flow of her replication ability, I think only Hashirama could summon all of her honestly.

i think Kurama is a lot closer to the other tailed beasts power level than it seems. In the show what we see could be due to the better seal and Naruto and Kurama's bond being far better than any of the jinchuriki so that they were tons stronger than their separate forms. Case on point: Kurama got genjutsud by Madara, susano Kurama lost to Hashirama's buddha (no jinchuriki bond), BUT Kurama with a jinchuriki bond boost was throwing hands with Otsutsuki gods and fighting Momo's golem and a susano Kurama (again, jinchuriki bond) obliterated it.

To summon Katsuyu, the byakugou seal is required. Which is why prodigies like Shizune and other high class medical ninja are unable to summon her. Katsuyu is directly linked to the byakugou seal as stated that her powers are directly proportional to the strength of seal. This should also mean that Tsunade had the byakugou seal way back since the 2nd great ninja war. Many recognizable shinobi from other village referred to her as "slug princess" which means she used Katsuyu quite a lot in her fights. I made a video on how she possibly countered chiyo's poisons through the use of Katsuyu's ability to liquify herself.😊

Tsunade didnt have the seal during the earlier war. You can see this in some flashbacks of the 3 way deadlock with the young sannim and their aummomings. Katsuyu can be summoned without the byakugou seal but the remote healing ability thru her fragments can only be activated in response to the seal. This means that in her younger days when she didnt have the seal, she can summon her but she cannot use her to heal others like in the Pain invasion.

I honestly think Temari's Kamaitachi weasel summon is more or at least as impressive as Danzo's Baku. It decimated the entire forest over what seems like a larger area then Danzo's Baku seemed to be able to suck stuff up from. Actually, it seems like the Kamaitachi did more damage then Shukaku's wind bullets it fought Gamabunta with. It might be the single strongest Wind Style attack we see in the series other then Rasenshuriken?

the Geddo Mazo is definitely stronger than Kurama. well, maybe not directly. but it's chain is specifically strong enough to restrict, pull in, and absorb all the Bijuu. including the Nine Tails. also, Madara technically summoned the nearly complete Ten Tails before absorbing it.

It was explicitly stated that the reason Kurama had to be sealed last if he wasn't, because trying to seal him without the other eight would cause the statue to crumble to pieces. So Kurama is so powerful that that the Geddo Mazo needs the chakra of all eight of the other beasts to be able to absorb him.

This is the description of Baku the dream eater, An early 17th-century Japanese manuscript, the Sankai Ibutsu (山海異物), describes the baku as a shy, Chinese mythical chimera with the trunk and tusks of an elephant, the ears of a rhinoceros, the tail of a cow, the body of a bear and the paws of a tiger, which protected against pestilence and evil. Absolutely incredible summons, I'm curious as to how the hell danzo found and created a contract with this beast, it would be cool to have mini arcs on things like that.

Honestly, I think people often sleep on Gamabunta and mostly because he is heavily under-underutilized. As a summon he is also using sage, and more importantly, the most OP thing of the frog summons: he can make his own Jutsu. No one ever uses this properly, but unlike other summons that come with a pre-determined skillset and basically fight in raw stats, Toads/Frogs are shown to learn, adapt and actually can use jutsu - and jutsu that uses sage/natural energy/chakra, at that. This opens the door to an endless possibility of combos and with Gamabunta's size it means all of these combos are massive in size. Gamabunta, and Toads in general, suffer from the Sasuke's affliction: Kishimoto stuff characters with OP abilities but never expands upon them or properly uses them together.

Explain to me in detail how you came to the conclusion that Kurama is a girl because it's clearly not a mistake you actively keep referring to the nine tails like a girl. The only reason i could possibly think you'd have is the real nine tails from Japanese mythology was a girl (like a human girl with nine fox tails) but the one in Naruto has never show any sign of being a girl whatsoever. Further more the voice actors are straight up men with the deepest voices you'll ever hear in both sub and dub.

5:44 there are actually three other AoE genjutsu but one is not very relevant and the other two are auditory and never on panel capture an army. So there's Tayuya's flute genjutsu (when Kabuto casts it it's far beyond chunin level in the war arc) and Jiraya's Frog Song. Theoretically they could capture a massive amount of people, but I'm not sure how loud each attack is, we can only make guesses based on the scenes we see each attack being used. The other one is (funnily enough also casted by Kabuto) is called the temple of nirvana- white feathers fall from the sky and anyone caught in it will be put to sleep. This is how Kabuto started the sound village attack in Konoah Crush arc, but part one Kakashi and Gai were able to get out of it, also the proctor Genma.

Kabuto stated that Manda II is bigger, stronger, and has far more acute senses than the original Manda. It is easily one of the largest summons, almost the same length as the Island Turtle. The turtle itself is one of - if not the largest - creature in the series, easily surpassing the nine tailed beasts and the Sannin's respective larger summons, while rivalling the Ten-Tails

When the Sanin were facing Hanzo I don't believe they had access to their unique summons at that time. The One Tail is not the weakest, he specifically states that the number of tails doesn't correlate to their power. The majority of times you see the other Tailed beasts they aren't fighting at full power. They're either being controlled by inferior masters, or are are not in perfect union like Naruto and the Nine Tails were towards the end of the series. 20:59 as I understand it when you make a pact with one of these summoned creatures the link/summoning works both ways, which is why not everybody is summoning such powerful creatures. They can summon YOU to their home dimension if need be. Lastly, you forgot the ability to summon Ninja tools/weapons. There are plenty of "legendary" weapons and tools that can easily make a apt shinobi able to take on powerful foes including tailed beasts. Tenten was using very powerful summoned weapons during the last war.

Shukaku is insecure as the weakest tailed beast, your claim that he says tails don’t matter is based off his statement from his insecurity. From everything we’ve seen, he is the weakest, Gyuuki is the second strongest and Kurama is easily the most powerful. So 1 Tail is the weakest, 8 Tails is the second strongest and 9 Tails is the strongest. The 8 and 9 Tails combined are stronger than 5 other Bijuu combined.

I Kinda think the Rinnegan Summons are probably the strongest. Since they probably Scale with the power of Caster. Like. the more powerful the guy behind the rinnegan + the more powerful the mastery of the Rinnegan. the more powerful the summons. All the other rinnegan 6 paths scale with it's user. So why wouldn't this specific path. The Summon that Edo Nagato made was way stronger than the same version of that summon that Jiraiya fought vs Pain and even stronger than the one that seemed to be summoned by Pain against Naruto while Pain was weakened.

Just had a thought. What if. Katsuyu main body is as big as the turtle island turtle. That sounds plausible when Tsunade and Sakura only summoned 1/3 of it.

Katsuyu is much larger than the turtle and they only summoned 1 tenth(1/10) of her actual body, not 1 third(1/3).

I wish they explained how the six paths justu works because it can't just be genjustu because you have essentially use the creation of all things jutsu to make duplicates of ones eyes and even in alternate size for all the summonings and of course with some beings like that dog where it can literally create copys of itself so it can't be just genjustu

I basically agree with all of your takes, so I'm going to quickly run down the special abilities of every summon you talked about & their abilities' feats in combat. #11 - Baku (- is much larger than mastered MS Sasuke Uchiha's Humanoid Susanoo, can suck basically anything into its mouth by sucking wind, similar to a black hole. Nearly sucked in Sasuke's Susanoo, a "perfect defensive technique.") #10 - Ibuse (- while not too large, is still is the size of 5 - 10 average - sized people. Has incredible battle experience as it helped Hanzō "win" against the Legendary Sannin, can spew incredible poison from its mouth that can defeat a large group of shinobi at once.) #9 - Gengetsu's Clam (- while it has decent combat prowess, its main ability is the illusions that it casts with the mist created by the clam. These illusions were able to basically defeat an entire battalion of shinobi at once, and took two High Kage - Caliber shinobi to take care of) #8 - Gamabunta (- is extremely large, as it can range from tailed beast sizes. Is one of the greatest summons for combative prowess, as he utilizes his proficiency with blades & his overall H2H combat and size to overcome enemies, even taking on tailed beasts for short amounts of time. He can also restrain targets with Toad Oil Bullet, create gargantuan Fire Release techniques with Jiraiya, and counter Shukaku (a tailed beast)'s Wind Release with his own Water Release) #7 - Manda (- although extremely difficult to control, still EXTREMELY powerful overall. Manda can shed its skin whenever he's about to die to an attack, which is how he survived the combined attack between Jiraiya & Gamabunta, has venomous fangs that are extremely deadly, is agile & flexible with its body, etc.) #6 - Katsuyu (- easy to control; extremely versatile. Is a master at healing, capable of allowing shinobi over the battlefield to survive large - scaled attacks, can perform long - ranged healing, can negate most attacks' damage by manipulating her body to create thousands of miniature versions of herself, can spew extremely powerful acid, and 1/10 of her is the size of the largest tailed beasts) #5 - Multi - Headed Dog (- one of the hardest summons to deal with; can replicate & increase its amount of heads & therefore attack potency every time it gets damaged by any attack {including Naruto's KCM-charged Rasenshuriken}, can split the amount of dogs by the amount of heads it currently has. Can only be countered by killing the summoner, teleporting it to a different dimension / paralyzing genjutsu, or insane abilities like Amaterasu) #4 - Monkey King Enma (- most combat effective summon on this list; is around as experienced as Hiruzen Sarutobi, was confident enough to defeat Konoha Crush Arc Orochimaru by himself, is extremely agile, fast, overall powerful, and even punched a weakened Hashirama Senju & caused him to go flying. Can turn into an adamantine staff, with adamantine being the most potent material in the series, and block attacks like Deep Forest Emergence & Kusanagi-blade swings, can push the Nine - Tails outside of a large village, etc.) #3 - Fukasaku & Shima (- greatest toad-type summons in the series. Both are Perfect Sage Mode-users & extremely experienced ones, can perform extremely powerful techniques like the Frog Song, which could put one in a paralyzing, inescapable genjutsu, the Sage Art: Goemon, which, in conjunction with Jiraiya, creates above boiling-hot waves of toad oil that could burn someone to a crisp, all attacks are amplified by Sage Mode, extreme sensory-capabilities, etc.) #2 - Gedō Mazō (- greatest summon that the Rinnegan can perform. Summons the HUSK of the Ten - Tails, and even without any tailed beasts within it, could create soul - stealing dragons & instantaneously defeat hundreds of Hidden Rain Shinobi with ease. With seven & a half tailed beasts, could fight against Naruto, Killer Bee, MS War Arc Kakashi, & Gated Guy with ease, could perform the abilities of all tailed beasts it had access to.) #1 - Kurama (- was able to take on Hashirama Senju in his prime with Madara Uchiha, could create tidal waves & terraform large countries with ease by a swipe of its tails, a half-powered Nine - Tails could create a Tailed Beast Bomb on the level of five other tailed beasts, took up more than half of the Ten - Tails' power in its prime, can sense negative emotions & was a force of nature, could continuously spam Tailed Beast Bombs, and could give its holder a power beyond even the strongest characters in the universe by sacrificing his own life / their life, that being Baryon Mode)

Enma is my pick for best summon outside of your obvious top 2. Hiruzen was a dead man so many times without him. It’s not even like he just assisted, either. He carried the entire fight against 2 edo hokage AND Orochimaru.

There is a factor here that isn't mentioned. Ofc it's just a head canon theory of mine. But still, it makes a lot of stuff make more sense imo. I think at least SOME summons scale to the power of the summoner in one way or another. Either its a direct scaling, like the more powerful the summoner, the more powerful the summon; OR, certain summons can be summoned with more or less chakra and depending on how much is used, the summon can get a direct power boost from it. Ofc Katsuyu can be summoned in % based on chakra used, but i think like Bunta, for instance was way stronger when Minato summoned him to help with kurama than he was when Naruto summoned him to help with shukaku
