Ranking The 8 Blue Lions Characters - Fire Emblem Three Houses

Glad to see someone else enjoy Annette and Ashe for who they are. Two precious beans that, despite not having the most drastic roles in the game, just capture your heart with how they interact with everyone. The little tidbits you get to know about them make them so very likeable and a fresh breeze of air among some heavy conversations. Not everyone can be brooding and serious. They bring that balance.

1) Dimitri - he has the best character development out of any character, also his post time skip design is awesome 2) Ashe - he's adorable, that's it, I love my boy 3) Dedue - he is a character you have to pay attention to, his story is sad and also his supports are amazing (His A support with Ashe is hands down my favourite) 4) Annette - same as Ashe, she's adorable, I also love all her songs 5) Felix - he has his own character development with Rodrigue and I love how he's the one to know the true Dimitri 6) Sylvain - He's horny :)) also his whole thing on women only wanting him for his crest making him who he is is also great 7) Mercedes - she's cute (sad the poof goes post time skip) and imo she's like the moral compass of the group (oh and also her support with Jeritza and what her stepdad tried to do made me love her more because i felt bad for her) 8) Ingrid - I don't hate her, in fact I love her, she's my favourite designed character and I love her support with Claude (mainly because Claude is just Claude 😂😂)

Great video as usual :) I'm definitely happy to see Ashe and Annette in the top half, those two rarely get the appreciation they deserve IMO. I'll be patiently waiting for the Golden Deer ranking (they are my favorite house), tho the video gives a pretty good "hint" of who will be number 1 ha ha. Also using Godot's theme in the Sylvain section is some great musical taste.

Great video, it really brought up a lot of important reasons for why I like these characters so much. Also nice to see a fellow Ashe Appreciator, he really is such a sweet and wholesome character. Also, fully agree that seeing Dedue and Dimitri in the other routes really helps flesh them out even further, given how dramatically the differing events shape them - Crimson Flower actually proves that it wasn't losing Byleth or even Edelgard's betrayal that caused Dimitri to truly snap, but being imprisoned and nearly executed by Cornelia, losing Dedue and spending 5 years on the run as a criminal hunting down and slaughtering enemy soldiers and officers. Dedue is also such an interesting twist on the Gentle Giant archetype, because yes, on the one hand he IS a very kind and gentle person, but he's also willing to commit terrible crimes for Dimitri's sake (something which disgusts someone like Felix). Overall I really love the Blue Lions not just for the individual characters, but for the way the House feels like one big family, and for all the trauma they manage to overcome over the course of the story and eventually finding their way together again. And Dimitri is not only my favorite Fire Emblem character, he's probably my favorite male video game character, period.

Awesome video! Honestly when the game showed the 3 lords for the first time I never thought Dimitri would be a fan favorite or a great character, but seeing now how he became the most popular & beloved one is a huge surprise! He won every official poll & even won 4th place in a poll consisting of famoua Nintendo characters like Mario, Kirby & Link! He's easily my favorite lord with Hector & Sigurd as 2nd & 3rd.

Only 8 and 7 were easy to choose for me. Choosing a top 6 is really difficult. 8. Ingrid - It's odd because Ingrid looks and sounds like what would happen if you took Titania from Path of Radiance, take 5 years off of her, and give her blonde hair. Not exactly a bad thing, but Ingrid seemed too much of a goody-two shoes out of most of the students, especially when it came to her supports with Raphael, Claude, and Sylvain. Her support with Dimitri is really good though. 7. Mercedes - My only beef with Mercedes is her voice. Just... Eeeek. Chalk on a chalkboard. It also doesn't help that her character probably has the least involvement with events transpiring in the Kingdom. Everything else from her relationship with Emille and her budding friendship with Annette is solid. 6. Ashe - Again, top 6 is a really tough choice. My only issue with Ashe lies in his combat. His strength is pretty bleh and you have to rely on his chip damage mostly with combat arts like Curved Shot and Deadeye. However, his supports are precious and he's one of the best FemByleth S-supports in the game. 5. Sylvain - The good news? No real flaws that stand out to me. The bad news? I like the next 4 characters better. 4. Annette - A friend of mine is named Annette and she has similar mannerisms to this character (somewhat clumsy, very smart, good work ethic). Undoubtedly would've been my first male S-support if Flayn didn't exist. 3. Dedue - Dimitri's right hand man, and personally I think their relationship is one of constant revision. They can never decide whether to be friend/friend or servant/master. Which makes a lot of sense given their relationship as victims of a slaughter involving their kingdoms. But the sacrifice made by Dedue during the timeskip always gets me, and his swearing to Dimitri about not throwing his life away is one of the most pivotal points of their relationship. Plus, his supports with other characters like Ingrid, Felix, and Ashe are all wholesome and do him justice. 2. Felix - I enjoy his dynamic with every other character. Felix is very upfront with everyone and is usually seen as a closed-minded individual. He's very blunt, but I think he cares a lot for his allies and doesn't want them to die thinking that their deaths will be for the greater good of everyone (because he couldn't take any one of them dying). He also got a big upgrade in Hopes by being promoted right off the bat to Duke Fraldarius, giving him way more to do in the story. 1. Dimitri - Easily my favorite character in 3 Houses, period. Has the most emotion and development of the three, let alone most emotion and development in probably the entire franchise barring maybe Ike and Alm.

Yep, literally just finished the first path, the blue lion. Ingrid sucks in everything. Her personality is just too serious and she is the first to die in every battle. she also remained virgin in the end and I am not surprised.😂

If she’s the first to die in each battle then I’d recommend giving her the Falcon Knight class and she’ll have an over 50% chance of dodging :)

Saying the Blue Lions are the best house!? As a Black Eagle fan, blasphemy! Fight me! JK on that last part, but still, I won't deny the Lions have some exceptional students. Plus, whereas I say the Eagles are more complex, the Lions I say have better chemistry (although interestingly, I find the Eagles' chemistry in supports rather solid). Edit: Oh, and I forgot! My ranking of the Blue Lions in terms of favorites. 8. Ashe - Unfortunately, I don't find him complex enough. Just too simple for my liking. 7. Dedue - his kindness is definitely one of the biggest surprises for me and makes for an interesting contrast to his battle prowess and devotion. 6. Felix - while he doesn't grow as much, he does prove to be complex enough since he's more than just edgy. 5. Mercedes - not only a sweetheart but also one who grows in the story! 4. Annette - Also rather simple, but I adore her cuteness! Plus, she is a must protecc character for me. 3. Ingrid - I adore the fact she can get angry at times! That aspect makes for an interesting contrast to her knightly persona. 2. Dimitri - yeah no surprise he would be ranked high. Although admittedly, I do like Edelgard more because I find Dimitri's growth a bit rushed, plus I find Edelgard's supports to be superior to his. 1. Sylvain - easily one of the most complex Lions! Plus, he is one of the top 8 characters in the game in my eyes. I like him more than Dimitri since I find Sylvain's growth better.

Hey I completely understand why you prefer the Black Eagles, they're all great though I'd say they're about equal with the Lions when it comes to how complex they are. What makes the Lions come out on top for me is just how endearing or relatable they are for me personally, I understand if that's different for others. Also a bit funny to see that Ashe and Dedue basically swapped with Ingrid and Sylvain between our lists, but again I see where you're coming from :) -but you put Ashe last so you have no soul-

@@MaxMonado No problem! And I just finished your video, and yeah, your personal bias is clearly showing, so I'll cut you some slack. Interestingly, my Triforce of top 3 favorites would be Dorothea at #1, Edelgard at #2, and Sylvain at #3. Although, whereas Dorothea is my favorite Three Houses character, Edelgard would probably be in my top ten video game characters due to her thought provoking aspects.
