The Michael Keaton one and the George Clooney one were okay. The Ben Affleck one was alright. But the Val Kilmer one and the Christian Bale one were amazing.

Batman returns for my money has the best Batman suit.. From the silhouette to the color the bat symbol in the chest piece. To the way the cape covers him. 89 Batman suit is good just doesn't always fit his body right.

Shawn undoubtedly makes the best Batman suits I’ve ever seen, I got the 89 Cowl from him and am waiting for him to make me the whole suit one day. 89 suit is the most badass in my opinion

Sonar suit had weird shark fins on the gauntlets. Sonar suit would have been better if painted black and with the Keaton gauntlets, utility belt, cowl and Returns symbol. I believe this was the original intention going from the leaked prototype photos and Batman 89 comic. Batman and Robin suit was the Panther suit made blue, with slightly different cowl and symbol (and the shark fin gauntlets). I have to say, I feel the Returns suit fits the movie universe that it's in and personally feel it is far superior to the Panther suit. Overall the best suit would be 89 suit with Returns symbol. I also would be very interested to see the original sonar suit intention (with the aforementioned features) as the design feels as if it was an attempt at blending the 89 anatomical look and the Returns armour with a futuristic twist.

The Returns suit is without doubt better than the '89 suit. No question. Everything from the mask which is sculpted/looks better,the logo bang on, the coloring has a better look too. Sorry guys disagree big time here. Lol

You are objectively correct. I think when people imagine the 89 suit their mind refines some its very rough edges whereas the retuns suit needs no mental blurring. 😋

Something about the dark knight suit that I kinda hate is where the segmentations are made, it’s never made sense to me. Like Arkham Origins had a similar style where it’s armor plating but that made more sense to me because it was larger armor plates as opposed to a bunch of really tiny ones in spots that don’t need articulation. There are also some panels especially on the legs (where I think this issue is the most apparent) where the plates sit on top of crumple zones that need to be able to articulate. I remember seeing somewhere that Nolan hated the begins cowl because in the canon of the film it’s meant to be a solid graphite structure, but then you see shots of it creasing and folding like rubber when Bale moves his head. I think it’s funny how Nolan said that but a bunch of the leg panels on the dark knight suit do the very same thing where they crease like rubber (when they’re supposed to be hardened plates). This isn’t that apparent in the dark knight due to the lighting but in BTS shots and during the final act of the dark knight rises it always bugged me (plus all the points you guys mentioned where this suit seems technically inferior because Batman is constantly getting hurt in it MORE than if he was in the Begins suit)

Something I wish was addressed was the Cape Scallops, the Bale suits only had them when gliding and Affleck's had a couple Large Scallops not the tiny ones. I think capewise the best was Tim Burton's

It may be total style over function, but I love the Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992) suits. I think they just seem the most comic book to me. How does the yellow utility belt work? Don't know, don't care! It looks rad. Also, I totally dig the Zack Snyder's Justice League Bat suit. I like that Zack Snyder added goggles to it and its his own reference to Patrick Wilson's Nite Owl II from his Watchmen (2009).

Would still love to see the blue,grey,yellow suit on the big screen ffs. Its never been done in all these years!!! Apart from obviously the Adam West movie. In saying this I think that suit should be used at certain times like winter with snow and ice or watery situations just to give it its chance in the movies. It was his actual suit for how long in comic books???

As you've probably heard, director Ivan Reitman passed away Saturday. As you know, he was attached to the Tom Mankiewicz Batman script for about two years around the time Ghostbusters was released. I have read next to nothing that I trust on how he would have approached the film. Joe Dante was later attached to the film and talked about it in an interview. I have never heard a peep from Reitman. It would be nice if you guys could smoke out some information on how Ivan would have approached the film. Maybe someone like producer Michael Uslan could flesh out what Ivan's Batman could have been like. Or maybe the Untold Tale Of Ivan Reitman's Batman will never see the light of day. Keep up the terrific work on this channel! I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

Here are some interesting facts that you may not have known: Tom Mankiewicz wrote, uncredited, the final draft of Ivan Reitman's Legal Eagles, which starred Robert Redford and Debra Winger. He was also the on-set script doctor for that film. Batman was supposed to be Reitman's next film after Ghostbusters, but he told Starlog Magazine back in '84 that he left it because it would be exhausting doing two big budget movies back to back. His next movie ended up being Legal Eagles instead.

Pretty much agree on all counts. However, I DO really like the JL Cowl because while the BvS cowl is IDENTICAL to TDKR, the JL cowl looks almost EXACTLY like the Jim Lee design in live-action. Also, the curved ears are similar to BTAS. P.S. I'm pretty convinced that the darts on Battinson's forearms are the Grapnel hooks. May be proven wrong in a month.

My favourite suit is the B89 suit. Unlike many of the ones that came later, this one actually looks like it could be armoured. The others just look like costumes to me, to shiny, too pretty. I don’t like the Batman Begins suit at all. Bale has a double chin and it looks like he has a tea towel around his neck. I don’t like the Affleck cowl because it looks really bad from the front and I hate short ears on Batman. I also prefer black suits over grey. The Pattinson suit is growing on me all the time, I particularly like the armoured shoulders and the chunky functional belt. I think my favourite cowl is Kilmer’s from Batman Forever. The panther suit. Also, that suit has my favourite Bat Symbol. So if I could take the B89 suit and combine it with Kilmer's cowl and chest symbol, and add on Pattinson’s belt I might have the perfect suit.😁

I really want a live action Neal Adams inspired suit - with a darker blue color. Use a swim suit like material - no more fake armor - every actor struggles to move in these suits. Put the white lenses in, and as per Andrew’s idea from the ninja episode, give Batman the ninja tabi boots.

Same here. I was always too afraid to judge the suit because people treat everything in the trilogy like the second coming of Christ. But now I see I am not alone with my unpopular opinion either. Thank God.

I have notice a lot of fans don't like Bale's second suit in The Dark knight. I love the Dark knight trilogy but something about Batman's suit in those films I just don't like. If I were to put up a top 5 best live action batsuits, both Begins and dark knight would be at the bottom of the list or off the list.

I remember reading somewhere that it was David S Goyer who suggested that the yellow utility belt was an integral aspect of Batman's design for the Begins suit. It does seem odd to me that was the only coloured part of his suit, sticks out like a saw thumb when you really think about it.

Bro, what?? The Batman suit is incredible! Lol. It's by far my favorite Batman suit in live action, and the cowl is fuckin EPIC! Its the most comic accurate cowl in my opinion. And I genuinely think Robert Pattinson will end up being the best Batman. For me at least. Reeves makes great suits. I just have very different opinions on The Batman. And Batfleck will be in the suit in Flash. He was seen on the motorcycle in behind the scenes footage.

What in bloody Valhalla are you talking about? The fight scenes in The Winter Soldier were complete shaky-cam/choppy shutter/5-cuts-a-second garbage! Couldn't see what the heck was going on! The action scenes in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises were INFINITELY superior, especially the first Batman/Bane fight in TDKR. It's raw and real, and you can actually see and comprehend what is going on. I can't listen to this abject ignorance anymore.
