@jflabrie I run Red Terror, Heliod, and Dockside+Emiel as combo outlets. The rest is split between a few packages: protect-the-combo, ramp, stax, and tutors. War Elemental is tough to combo with because it normally gets played post-combat, and combat damage is normally what sets the combo going (apart from the rare Red Terror + Lightning Bolt)

I may be known for Kinnan, but my 2 other favorite decks to play are Ob Nixilis and Talion. I love Ob with all the darkness in my heart, dude is insane, but as someone who also plays Talion, Talion is the stronger deck from a tournament perspective. It's just better within the current meta with how many answers everyone has. Ob is for sure number 3 though, Atraxa, Talion, Ob. All amazing commanders, all amazingly strong decks, and all are fun decks to play that are awesome and unique with what they have added to the format. - WoundedSatellite

@TrollVision018 ай бұрын
just to clarify: The kroxa and kunoros only needs altar of dementia to win a game, the second trigger is a reflexive trigger so in response to the trigger you sac KnK to mill you for 6, then exile 5 cards you dont like and bring back kroxa and do that over and over until you get abdel and karmic guide on the graveyard, and then you can mill everyone out and get infinite 1/1s

I've had two top 16s on this on some online tournaments and honestly the amount of wincons and lines you can access with this deck is insane. I wrote a primer on it and it honestly surprised me how many possibilities I got with it. And for Sauron, the Dark Lord: I added in Changeling Outcast for my list to be able to get that wheel effect guaranteed.

@thedoctor14718 ай бұрын
As someone who built SnS day one, you guys are quite right on its analysis. Korvold is strictly better, triple pip is hard, the ability being sorcery speed only is very painful. However, it does indeed grind extremely well, can threaten wins fast as fuck because, well, it's jund, you just burst mana everywhere, it has layered combos everywhere, and most importantly, it flies under the radar a lot more than a deck like Korvold. It does need a bit of experience to pilot it, but there's a kind of joy from winning with siege gang commander in cEDH that no other commander can really bring I think. At some point, if we only want to play "THE" best deck, everyone has to play either najeela, kenrith or blue farm. But some other commanders can be interesting :)

i feel like rowan got underrated a bit, ive turned 7 life into 21 by untapping rowan and tapping it again over and over to cast a torment of hailfire for like 21 on turn 4, necropotence and regenerated creatures combo well because you can just keep paying life and then gain life back by using exsanguinate or other cards like that.

Rowan looks fun, possibly more of a Peer to the Abyss card than an Ad Naus cards though. Rowan lets you play artifacts and other colourless spells for zero mana so I'd want some with payoff for that in addition to Rakdos signets and such as free mana sources. X spells also get to be unreasonable but you can exploit that with Ad Naus or Peer.

A deck I’m surprised that isn’t doing the numbers is the 5th doctor and adriac. It’s a combo right in the command zone. It wins at instant speed at the end step. I’ve been throughly enjoying the deck ands it pretty consistent due to all the redundancy in the deck. I guess the big flaw is that you need creatures to stick around for a turn cycle to really get it going.

Talion is #2 at worst. Heliod is significantly worse than most of the ones behind him but it’s neither here nor there. It’s 7-8 mana-do nothing. In colors that aren’t efficient mana generators. You’re playing a bunch of terrible cards to make it work (mana sink wheels) And if this thing is removed ever once you’re out of the game. Great when you have a sculpted hand and you get a turn 2 flip and it lives till turn 3 turns and you have something that hopefully doesn’t get countered… but A vanilla 7 drop with no card advantage isn’t where you want to be in CEDH. Him needing to flip hurt.
