I really love the Synergy Messenger of Peace has with Drill Warrior! You can still attack directly for a good amount of damage every turn and generate advantage with his effect and Dandylion, while your opponent has limited time to find an out to it. Once you have enough resources, you can just not pay the cost and go for a big push! Can be an auto win vs Dragons or Ancient Gear (especially if you have Starlight Road/Solemn as Protection), which Quickdraw kinda struggles against otherwise! It's also nice against Vayu or Diva Hero because it forces them to use their Caius on a Backrow, so it indirectly protects your monsters.

iv been siding in 2 seven tools, and iv been loving it. it just does what dust does but better, except for floodgate traps. great against discard traps, great vs icarus, great vs gbs. it single handly has closed out games for me because people just dont expect it. also been loving smashing ground since it cant get wing blasted or dusted. its a one card answer to anything but stardust. cuts off icarus and war chariot. for vayu its great since tyrannical is one of the hardest cards to get over.

i've been waiting for a sideboard tier list for awhile. i've liked crow and cydra so much i try to move them into my main since i kept siding them in almost every matchup

I think that C's a bit low for Soul Release. I've been playing it a lot in the side since seeing the Zombie deck, and loving it. It might technically be a -1, but if you're hitting the right cards it can essentially be as much as a +4. It usually at least a 1 for 1, or a +1. A D.D. crow just can't answer a GY with 2 or 3 Treeborns, a pair of Dandylions, 4 Lightsworns, or a bunch of zombies in the same way.

d.d. crow can react to avarice, miracle fusion, or other activated effects like zombie master, mezuki, wyvern, etc in a way soul release can't and net actual card advantage. d.d. crow is also a monster for allure, sangan, dark armed, and icarus attack, and can at worst be set and used as tribute fodder. soul release is only really good when mass removal matters more (i.e. vs specifically 2 graved treeborns or 4 lightsworn names), and once people know you are playing soul release in game 2 it makes it much easier to play around in game 3.

I don't think any of that really changs the fact that C is harsh. B seems fairer to me. I'm not saying it's the best side deck card. I'm not saying it's as good as D.D. Crow. SR absolutely lacks the speed and versatility of crow. But I do find there are a lot of times where hitting a single monster with crow just doesn't get the job done

yeah dust tornado is a such great side deck card, the second effect can work well to play important traps safe (like Return from another dimension).

I run Light-Imprisoning Mirror in Hero Beat just because of how fucking awful the Fairies matchup is. I've never felt like Shadow-Imprisoning mirror would dramatically increase my winrate against the field or against a particular matchup, but Light-Imprisoning makes the Fairies matchup playable.

Thoughts on Dark core? I guess it's like a worse PWWB but I'm drawn to it cause it straight up banishes the monster which slows down stuff like Vayu and messes with a lot of HERO counts for Miracle

Did they change the King Tiger Wanghu rulings? I am sure you can't chain enemy controller to the wanghu destruction effect of treeborn frog because wanghu is a continues effect (so it doesn't start a chain). Did they make changes to his rulings since i last played it?

@@E3YuGiOh ok i just doublechecked. you are correct. I think i got confused by the interaction with cards like shrink (back in the day). It's a triggered effect so it has to start a chain. The reason it was confusing for me in the past was because you cant chain shrink to make the monster die by the effect of wanghu. With my now better understanding of rulings I can see that wanghu will just not trigger so shrinking it wouldn't do anything because wanghu will not check the stats of the monster that way. Sorry for the confusion. Keep up the great work :)

Dark Possessed Soul would be insanely cheesy if level modulation was easy to apply on your opponent's board, The fact this thing steals entire boards and isn't even limited to a single turn is insane. Alas, the fact it only steals weenies means it has very limited use.

Given the current meta being dominated by ab zero decks what is super poly like as a side deck card and running an ab zero of your own in the extra deck. How would it work if you used your opp ab zero as material? does your board get wiped before or after you summon ab zero? I guess there are also scenarios where you could also chain super poly to your opp miracle fusion aswell. I guess it would be stronger as a side card in the mirror, hero stun or frog decks where you can put your own targets on the field as well?

I think certain cards end up being "sideboard" cards because they only hit a narrow amount of the field, or they apply in certain situations that come up more often after siding. Most of these cards, except maybe oppression, crow, and cyber dragon, probably shouldn't be mained in most strategies.

IYI, one of the top cut decks from FLC11 (Goat) was a burn deck that mained 2 JoA to protect Wave-Motion Cannon. It's cute but almost certainly straight-up worse than the GG Panda variants that e.g. won Worlds '21.

now imagine u are playing vs lightsworn with no back row cards in the first game, will u put ur mst, storm and stuff like that out? and what will u do after the second game, people need big balls to side cards vs royal decree, because the lightsworn player can say.. yo he is bording, i'll take all my back row and decree out of my deck again, so he have to play with some dead cards. Royal Decree is realy good card, but its an amazing card for mind games
