I'm genuinely curious about the warlocks ranking though... so we just assume they all dressed up the same and had psychedelics. But that doesn't explain how they get stabbed and then turn into clothes and that was from Jorah Mormont and he was not under any psychedelics. (I only know the show lore and what you guys talk about lol) but they can't be frauds if they get stabbed then turn into nothingness, even if it was just a bunch of old men dress up the same taking drugs it doesn't explain the little girl jumping in water without a ripple then appearing behind then, it also doesn't explain how they can be stabbed and live. No mirror, jorah wasn't tripping and at thr table they did kill everyone of them the same time so no mirror effect unless the were ALL in on it at the council

Correct #1 answer TV Euron Greyjoy. Can build a thousand ships in a weeks Can teleport around Westeros in days Can cloak his ships so dragons can't see until they are in range Can hit a flying moving target multiple times with pinpoint accuracy even before the enemy can see him. TV Euron could probably take down Gandolf and Dr. Strange with his OP magic levels

Now to be fair we don't know that Euron cloaked his ships - he might have just used magic to cloud Dany's mind and make sure she "kind of forgot about the Iron Fleet". Dark magic rituals are so built up as existential threats in fantasy settings that I never really considered the possibility of Euron performing it and turning out to just be an addled lunatic who killed half a city based on a meaningless delusion. That would actually be quite an epic anti-climax. Equally brilliant and hilarious would be the Hightowers using an effective counterspell to stop him with an air of "Lolno. Get wrecked noob." before swaggering back to their books. It would actually be quite nice to see someone taking the 'easy route' (abandon any and all morality in pursuit of a power you don't entirely understand because dark magic grants power through willingness to murder/sacrifice more than skill and dedication) and just get stopped by a competent magic user whose family has spent the last several generations putting the work into learning without shortcuts.

Both Thom and Liam are great narrators. Liam has just become more iconic as the "main" narrator, but I'm always down for the Thom vids. In terms of the list I agree with just about everything, but would maybe bump Qyburn up one tier higher. Yes he only did one thing with the help of science, but the thing he did was fully under his control and saved the Mountain from certain death, even making him undead. It's implied that the experiments that got him banished from the citadel may have involved blood magic / been magical in nature. So he seems to have a solid enough handle on magic and necromancy to be a mid-tier user, perhaps.

The possible frauds I feel are a mixed group of lies with science/health care covered in smoke and mirrors however the undying an example of how the magic is probably real but needs deception to make it feel real to others along with trying to give the impression they have more power than they really do. I like that false magic is also included in the world along what is clearly real magic to keep you on your toes and never take things for what they appear to be, looking forward to follow up to this good work as usual.

GRRM has confirmed that the reason Dany was unharmed by the fires that hatched her dragon eggs was because of the ritual itself and she's not fireproof. She IS more resistant to heat like many Targaryens to an extent, ex. her preferred bath temperature is hotter than non-Targaryens (like her handmaidens) are even able to handle touching, and she doesn't get bothered as much by really hot weather, but she doesn't have any permanent fireproofing. In fact, in ADwD, when she rides Drogon out of Meereen, her hair gets scorched by his flames (it might even get mostly burnt-away; I don't remember exactly off the top of my head.) So sadly she cannot pull off a similar stunt like in the show of burning-down a building while inside it and walking out untouched.... unless she learns to control her magic! _> _>

From what ive heard, in the books (which ofcourse are the main canon) i think the Warlocks are possibly just tricksters, but from my pov watching the show, they must be magical. Firstly, the whole duplication thing when we first meet them. Then they just appear behind the council to kill them. Then when one clone is killed they just, like, revive? And its not like its just Danny seeing things as her guards are there too. Then the whole thing with the tower door disappearing. Sure, it could just be the tower is magical not them but i doubt it. Then the whole sending an evil little girl clone who straight up teleported (cant believe the plotline was abandoned) seems just way too magical.

I'd prefer a Marvel comparison to StarWars. Green Seeing the future, past and things far afield is more akin to Professor Charles Xavier's psychic powers. The Night King's command of the dead and capacity to augment babies into White walkers is like a weird amalgamation of Thanos and Apocalypse. Now if only the books could go out with as big a bang as Endgame.

Dragons are all but canonically confirmed to strengthen magic and especially fire magic. The wildfire’s strengthening is not meant to be mere coincidence but thematically and narratively ominous. I agree that the manufacture of wildfire itself is almost certainly mundane, though. The fun with Euron is that even if he’s wrong-perhaps especially if he’s wrong-he’s still going to wrought unholy horror. Shade of the evening is similar: it’s a psychedelic that might unlock latent magic…but for most folks it’s just a wild trip that you perceive as magical. Power, shadow, walls, etc. Dany being a fire wight is one of my favorite little theories that probably aren’t true and probably doesn’t add much but still would be cool. Qyburn horrifies me. He’s Victor Frankenstein utterly unrestrained and far more cunning. Full believer in Mirri did nothing wrong. She actually tried healing Drogo but he didn’t follow the doctor’s prescription. Jorah bringing Dany into the tent is what slew her child, not Mirri. Then when she gets blamed for these horse-plowers not listening she just goes off like a queen. “Today is not the day I die,” Jojen said on the day before he died. Thoros is more competent than Melisandre. Prove me wrong. When in doubt, Bloodraven’s behind it. He’s like the better-intentioned medieval fantasy version of Palpy. We haven’t seen him cast lightning from his hands…yet. Wait, so the shadow baby scene isn’t supposed to be hot?

Thing about Euron is that he doesn't actually need magic to pull off (at least) his (first) big stunt in the books, it's said that blood attracts Krakens and he's been spilling blood into the sea just before the coming battle against the Redwyne fleet. Whether he could channel that power and bring the Krakens under his command or something is another question.

Real question is whether Thom dropped the crossbow. 20 entries? Oh boy, this'll be fun. I guess the Giants do kind of count but don't for this, so yeah, fair point. As for Robert Strong, uh, yeah, sure. Potential frauds? Yeah, ok, the pyromancers make sense to be there. They can do a version of Greek Fire and aren't exactly magic. They're skilled, but magic? I wouldn't say so myself. Euron Greyjoy at number 20, huh? I suppose we don't have much proof yet. Would be funny if he's just full of shit, though full of LSD is more accurate, yes. Damphair? Yeah, sure, that works. I really need me some of whatever these Ironborn are dropping if this is what they end up as. Forget acid, these guys are dropping whatever Balon was when he decided invading the Westerlands was a good idea. Hmm, the Warlocks of Qarth... with the books, yes, it is possible that Dany was just tripping balls. The show might be a bit more debatable, but given the books is primary here, I'm going with Dany is tripping balls mostly because it feels like it fits George's world a bit more. Instinctual magic then. No Thom, he isn't done yet. Just a bit longer. There we go. Ah yes, the Stark children being instinctual skinchangers. Damn it Jon, you should have applied for proper permits. Don't you know that mistakes like these can cost you a knife and a chest- I mean and arm and a leg? Dany next? Yeah, makes sense. Only ever did magic by accident. Too many titles. If she could take full control of her magic... oh boy. Pretty sure George outright mentions that Dany's fireproofing was a one time thing. Also, Targaryens are fireproof, didn't you know? Low level? Eh, fuck Sansa. Anyway, where were we? Reforging Valyrian Steel should put Tobho on the list, sure. Qyburn... yeah, sure, he can be on here given what he did with Gregor. Ah yes, Maggy the Frog. Kind of partial to her just being full of shit and Cersei being a self fulfilling prophecy, but yeah, she can be on here. Mirri... not spelling her name out. Yeah, no, she's not a villain. Oh look, more Stannis. Anyway, given how unreliable Dany is as a narrator, I don't know much about this one. She can go on here with her level of control, but at the same time, eh? Colhands is Coldhands, not a guy. I've seen so many theories, all of them including him being a Stark. Yeah, sure, he can go on this spot. No, we won't get the books at this rate. Mid tier- ME at the top? Jojen at the bottom of mid tier... yeah, makes sense enough. Not much to say. Ah, No One. Yeah, they go on here easily. Could be argued to be higher given they're way more than just changing face (at least implied). Considering Thoros brought a man back to life 6 fucking times was it? Yep, 6 times. He goes here. Ah, Qaithe (I know I misspelled that). I've seen her claimed to be Shiera Seastar and Rhaenys Targaryen. GIf she's real, yeah, she's on here. Not much to say honestly, got very little to say about her. Six Skins (not even trying to spell his name) fits well enough at this point. Given it took Bran the Bedtime Story to get a human, yeah. Speaking of Bran, I do think he could be pushed a bit higher on the list down the line, but this is a good place for him now. And if you take the show into account, time fuckery and all, but I hate that (in the show), so moving on. Ah, the Mel. There's probably an argument for her to be above number 4, but yeah, she needs to be up there. Maybe she should stick to her spots instead of trying divination. Putting the dragons on the list? Yeah, sure, dragons are pretty much magic in and of themselves in ASOIAF. They don't cast magic, they just are magic as they are. Ok, can't remember where I saw this theory, but given there's a theory that Valyrian magic is based on the volcanos and First Man magic is based on Weirwood trees, makes sense that Greenseeing doesn't need dragons. Ah, Bloodraven. Yeah, I know who number 1 is now. Bloodraven pretty much speaks for himself at this stage. The Children kind of are magic like the dragons as far as I'm concerned. So this feels like a good place for them when they show their abilities. As for where I'd put them, I'd probably push Bloodraven one step down and put the Children here at number 2. Patchface, yes. Anyway, the Others really don't need anyone explaining what they can do. To be fair, if I'm remembering correctly, I think it's just Alysanne's dragon who didn't want to go past the Wall, but yes, if dragons don't want to go north of the Wall, is it even needed to say a thing? I've seen someone go with the Night King having caused the Doom of Valyria. I flinched back an entire meter at the Night King's defeat in the show. That's all I'll say. Yeah, the divine beings would be there, but given George, yeah. Watch the Great Other be a Balrog. Anyway, gonna sign off with that. Great video.

I'll grant ye that Lord of the Rings is a grand tale, though I wouldn't really call its magic system integrated into the story what with the fact that there are only maybe five people in the story that can use it... though on the other hand the whole story is driven by a magic bit of jewelry...

Ghost of high heart is better and a whole lot more clear
@micahmcfadden80822 ай бұрын
@@ticket_puncher ghost of high hearts are not more clear the green dreams are just as cryptic as jogens patchface or melisandre and most of the things she said we interpret accurately because its not a prediction its things that have already happened like the faceless man with a drowned crow on his shoulder we knew that meant the crows eye killed balon and he didnt just fall off a bridge i think predicting the future from a person blood is the same as maggy the frogs ability and nowhere near as powerful maggy predicted cerseis entire life and her friends death that night the ghost just says she sees people arya will kill patchface has a 100% accuracy so far

Hold on, how do we get Stannis the Mannis to top this list?
@TheFandomeClips2 ай бұрын
The Mannis needs no cheap tricks like god teir magic to be the most powerful entity in Thrones Rob! Such tricks are beneath him, which is why he lets Mel do it instead 😂 Thanks for watching as always Rob! Liam
