ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS VIDEO, soo well made and I have watched it soo many times over. Would love to see a video on each kingdom! The one thing I would say is that you guys made a point about how some kingdoms might be able to sink them before they land. I personally think that any kingdom with naval experience could sink them before they land, as the Dothraki (at that point in the story, before the war of the 5 kings) have never sailed before, and would be completely out of their element fighting ship to ship. Would be interested to hear your thoughts on that ❤ Merry Christmas guys

I feel that Grey Worm would better serve as a captain or lieutenant-based roll over a commander or general. Put him in charge of a squad or batallion to deal with conventional frontline warfare? Perfect. He'll get stuck into his roll leading his men through the meatgrinder without complaint. But he lacks the flexibility for more specialized missions and lacks the creativity other commanders can employ to get the drop on an enemy.

What would stop Tywin from killing Cersie? She's 100% a liability and adds no benefit to keeping the iron throne. Fatherly love is not an acceptable answer if he's willing to kill Joffery.

A scene that comes to mind for Dooku is the fight in season 6 of the Clone Wars where he expertly finesses Anakin and Obi-Wan by constantly fixating the pace of the fight, separating the both of them to deal with them piecemeal, and constantly keeping Ami on the defensive and Obi on the offensive, exploiting both of their weaknesses expertly.

Yeah, you don’t necessarily need the pipe dirty to win although that is a very very viable option and a good one you just have to be competent enough to know to strike out an opening and a weakness when you see it I think Ned is that kind of competent but I don’t think he would win.

Little finger indirectly killed Ned Stark (he gave Joffrey the idea, but also hired the faceless man) , provoked the war of the 5 Kings, killed Joffrey and took over the Vale. There is also matter to argue that he's responsable for Robert's rebellion. His only objective: getting laid.

J’quen H’gar should probably be on this list. Technically he is an Essex kind of person, but he clearly operates in Westeros and can slay men by the dozen. Vic Greyjoy is also pretty good.

Reviewing this after some other "how this faction could have won" videos, it occurs to me that there was absolutely a surefire way for three houses to get at least most of what they wanted simply by uniting against the Lannisters. Stark, Baratheon, and Greyjoy united would crush the Lions, likely even without Renly choosing to back Stannis. If the Greyjoys made the only smart decision they need and ally with the North, and Robb allies with Stannis, these three houses together could absolutely take King's Landing and the entire realm honestly. The Tyrells and Renly might still be an issue but even with their large army and resources they are not really a military house and usually side with the winner just to keep what they have. With Stannis on the Throne and Robb in the North I don't see them trying anything sneaky at that point. Especially if Renly is the heir and still offers the marriage into the crown.

After considering this contest a little more I think I've drawn a new conclusion. If Oberyn tries to fight or is forced to fight Jaime sword vs sword he will lose, poisoned blade or not. Jaime is simply too skilled with that weapon to be defeated with it by anyone who does not equal or exceed his own skill and he will be able to keep himself from getting so much as scratched while using his natural skill to overwhelm Oberyn. I also give the fight to Jaime without prep. If neither fighter knows who he will be facing and come face to face on the battlefield for instance, again Jaime's natural skill with his single weapon will leave him better prepared to face anything without being allowed to prepare. With prep, Oberyn wins every single time because with prep and time, he can beat pretty much anyone he faces. He will create a well thought out plan to beat Jaime knowing his enemy and playing specifically to his weaknesses.

I would love of this was how the story went. I know lannisters are not the best people. But they are the most stable. With tywin ruling, the kingdom for the remainder of his life would be in a decent place. And the whole of westeros would be better off. Imagine twin as king and stannic as his hand. They could conquer the would

I’m hesitant to say characters like Ned or Jon since, while they’re in the game due to the mere fact they exist, they’re not really “players”. I’m actually gonna say it is Cersei, even though she survived until the end. The reason why is because her survival had nothing to do with her - the *only* reason she survived despite constantly making the wrong choices, throwing in with the wrong lot and letting her bitter toxicity rule her, is because everyone around her just let her do it. That *would* be a plus in her favour *if* it was by design. If she played the game well enough that she managed to fly under the radar to a degree, making it so people didn’t really see her as a threat compared to the others around her and so left her alone, that would be masterful. The problem is that none of it *was* by design; she considered herself the biggest danger to everyone else and wanted everyone to see her as such, going so far as lashing out if anyone “overlooks” her. She had absolutely no business surviving as long as she did but everyone just decided to get rid of the people around her instead of she herself, and any plans that *did* target her were only ever to shame or undermine - never kill.

Alright, traveled the day after you posted this and haven't been able to watch since then but here I am. Get ready, this is gonna be an essay. How could the Lions win the Game of Thrones? Simple, don't be the Lannisters wherever that applies in terms of personality. Obligatory Stannis glazing. Good to see. Also, you saying you don't like Bumfinger? So much shit from the books not done yet. Tywin being a caring attending father sounds like the Others being beaten by a teleporting Arya. Something completely and utterly insane. Tywin's not getting that legacy of his without not being Tywin. Honestly, Tywin's skill at playing the Game is a weird one. He can win for himself but it won't be anything lasting and it is very shaky in most cases but he's already in a good position so it's weird to rank. But yes, the Lannisters have a lot of strong players. Army and money does stack up. Tywin a sold tactician? Ok, yeah, not gonna lie, won't agree with that one all that much. They do have good tacticians though. Pragmatic my ass but we've been there before. There is one thing they won't do to win though. That is get along. I think their weaknesses are summed up with Cersei. But also all that. Honestly, take the Stark family dynamic and mix it with the Lannisters everything else (power, lack of morality, wealth) and you might just have an unbeatable combo. There it is. The moment they can't project power, they're screwed. The only thing I'd say for the Lannisters during the War is to change up how the Red Wedding was handled specifically. Killing Ned... maybe keep him in the Black Cells and kill him while pinning the blame on someone else if possible. It would be better than killing Ned but not sure how feasible that would be. Maybe killing Ned was the best move but a lot of that hinges on luck. Not sure how smart that is given it hinges on luck but I mean it worked. But yes, marrying Sansa and Joffrey is not a good idea. They need that Tyrell alliances. For the Greyjoys, there isn't much they can do. It's probably better to wait and deal with the Iron Islands after Euron does a Euron. Stannis murdering Renly was the dumbest move for him not gonna lie but you know. For the War of Five Kings, yeah, probably best to keep shit as is. George forgot about the Stormlands is my bet. You'd need to install someone who would stay on your side and would bring in the Stormlands... yeah, you said what was on my mind. Let's see who you have in mind because I'm drawing Conningtons. Bringing in a Reachman to take the Stormlands? Not entirely sure, I won't lie. Yep, there it is. And the Tyrell thing is a bit of a problem. Not a good idea to have Tarly there. Kevan might be a worse choice I won't lie given at least Tarly doesn't have direct connections to Tywin. Besides, it might just incentivize the Storm Lords to rally behind Stannis even more and just fuck with the Lannister more. It's a tough one. I'd say bring someone in from the Stormlands and see if you can convince them to join forces and have them deal with it. Yes. Agreed. Get rid of Joffrey. There it is. It was pure luck that it worked. I don't think Tywin would kill Joffrey off because even Tywin doesn't do kinslaying. I won't lie though, if whispers come out that Tywin did it, it'd be a net loss to the Lannisters given kinslaying is seen as even worse than kingslaying or breaking Guest Right. That would ruing his legacy even worse than everything else. Yeah, that's about it. It all hinges on Tywin staying alive because anything else would need them to not be the Lannisters. I wouldn't say he has any of that I won't lie but he is the only one who can really handle things in terms of projecting power. The moment he dies, they're fucked. Tyrion, Oberyn, Varys, Baelish, Stannis, Dany, etc. It's Tywin's whole thing, he can't keep his legacy as soon as he dies. Well, that's a lot of contrivances, but we do need some Dany forgetting about the Iron Fleet to keep him alive. Dealing with Cersei... oh boy. Send her to the Faith. Or to Essos. Basically, get her the fuck out of Westeros. Casterly Rock works though I suppose. But yeah, Sparrows don't do shit. Oh boy, Dany, now this'll be a problem. Even conventional warfare he's not too good, never mind those dragons. Facelss Men might be too expensive I won't lie, even for Tywin. You know, I know they wouldn't, but it'd be funny if the price they ask is Cersei's life. I know they won't, but imagine. But yeah, arm the Harpies and keep her in Slaver's Bay. I love that scene where Rhaegal dies same way I love the scene in The Last Jedi where Rose "saves" Finn because of how stupid it is. Anyway, yeah, assassination could work. Bit risky but oh well. Dealing with Dany needs to be like this. No arguments for any of this. Dorne... hmm... taking out Dany is easier in my head than taking out Faegon. I do think they'd need to get rid of Gregor. But yeah, that fits, got nothing else to say. Faegon on the other hand, doesn't matter if he's a fake or the real deal, he needs a shattered Seven Kingdoms to take it over but with a united Seven Kingdoms and a solid Stormlands (assuming Tarly can take it over successfully) they're fucked. Best landing is probably in Dorne but that'd be just Dorne and the Golden Company. I do imagine if the Realm's stable, they'd not attack the Stormlands but eh, this can be some other vid like you said. Oh, hi Euron. If he's a fraud, then no need to do much to get rid of him. If he's not... well, they'll be a bit fucked I won't lie. I want to see all of that in one go though. Now, the Walkers, uh, they're kind of fucked I won't lie. I mean, unless they can get Jon back into the fold. Jon just about might do that, but without Jon, well... yeah. Why D&D? No comment. Jaime does have what it takes but he needs to learn about it. I can't fully decide how I feel about this one because strictly speaking, without the dragons, I don't think they can win. Unless you get teleporting Arya again, in which case, Jon doesn't even need Tywin's help at which point, just attrition them in the Neck. Although, I suppose Tywin could still negotiate Cersei to marry the Night King. Stannis and the North vs. The Lannisters... well, Tywin was terrified of Stannis in the books from memory. Yeah, no negotiation here. He can keep the Others at bay if the Wall is still there. Plus, Stannis can probably bring in the Stormlands just by existing. This one's probably the hardest bit. They'll need to roll religion and get a nat 20 to beat back Stannis here. To be fair though, this is how they kept winning in canon, so you know, checks out. I don't think Baelish would do much in this scenario, mostly because he'd see no opportunity to sow even more chaos with a more secure realm. I'd imagine he'd retreat to the Vale and wait out Tywin's lifespan to start fucking around. Varys might do the same, just postpone Faegon's arrival until after Tywin dies of natural causes or somehow along the way (maybe a stress induced heart attack from dealing with Cersei's stupidity). Bran... I don't imagine he'd do much, I think he'll be tied with the Others the whole time so he'd be a bit too busy there, but if he goes full greenseer, then Tywin's best hope is the same as with a full power real Euron, basically tuck his head between his knees and kiss his ass goodbye. As for Arya... helpless shrugs honestly. I have nothing there. Stoneheart I see being like the Brotherhood Without Banners, not doing much on a full Realm scale. She'd probably destabilize the Riverlands a bit, maybe kill off House Frey like Arya in the show, and that'd cause a minor headache but there isn't much she can realistically do right now. My money's on Arya kills her in the books as part of her journey so less of an issue there. This was fun. Like I said on Discord, I make no apologies for the length of this comment. You can expect more long comments like this if the video length racks up.

Although you may be right in that the Starks could not be dissuaded by Sansa marrying him. If the Lannisters did maintain the marriage and Joffrey and Sansa had children, they could have a prince warden in the north who is a Lannister son, which might abate the Northern spite if they don’t just come to hate Sansa. However, are the Tyrels make or break on a royal marriage? If so, maybe Margery is still better.
