Your channel is such a breath of fresh air. This is the level headed approach more people would benefit from taking. Also Christy Harrison mention woo!!

"Tinfoil hat level" had me rolling 😂😂😂😂😂
@sportybeth2 ай бұрын
😂😂 I very nearly actually wore a tinfoil hat for that tier. I feel like I should have committed. Fun fact as a teacher I once wore a tinfoil hat for an entire lesson and went on as normal and refused to address it.

It's sad how fucked up the American food industry is and how low the hygienic standards are, that you can't eat typically safe raw food like milk, liver, honey and eggs without first treating it.
@sportybeth4 ай бұрын
Raw milk isn’t safe anywhere, neither is raw liver. Raw eggs are typically safe ish but there is no reason to eat it raw. Raw honey is safe but it really doesn’t matter if it’s raw or not. It’s nothing to do with the food standards in the US (I’m in the uk) it’s the foods themselves that are prone to carrying food borne illnesses. People just died from them before we started cooking and pasteurising things.

This is an excellent video that should have way more views than it does (probably because it’s far too sensible!) 👏👏👏

Telling people to trust WHO. Have you looked deeper into that organization? You are treading on uncharted territory here. Also seed oils were originally created for engines and now people are eating them. Have you looked into that?

This is a wonderful video i loved it. TFS 👋🏼 I do take a collagen supplement and I agree with your categorizations lol @ wellness trends. Lets see where were at and whats popular 5 years from now 😂😂. Def would like 2 see more videos like this ❤❤

Ah I’m glad you like it! I’m on the fence for trying collagen 😂 watching so many videos for this kind of convinced me to try it. But I stand by the fact effects would be marginal. I definitely think I need to at least do one more of these just so I can include the coffee enema trend 😂😂😂

I agree mostly with your ranking except for the seed oils. I think in a few years more and more people will see through the food industries push to use these cheap oils.
@sportybeth4 ай бұрын
Yeah I don’t agree, there is no science to back that up and even if there were some low quality oils in there the blanket categorisation of “seed oils” just puts them all in the same category for no reason. There’s nothing to do with the fact that the come from a seed that makes them unhealthy.
@bxstar52764 ай бұрын
@@sportybeth yes there is science to back it up. It’s not that they are made from the seed it’s the effect of the heat on the seed oils.
@christinagrant64944 ай бұрын
Here is some science... Taha, A.Y. Linoleic acid-good or bad for the brain?. npj Sci Food 4, 1 (2020). Heating seed oils is one issue but another major issue is the high levels of linoelic acid from seed oils causing inflammation.

@@bxstar5276 just having science backing doesn't make it true, the studies need to be good quality and have to be interpreted correctly. and if you're not a scientist in that field it's really hard to properly understand the studies. Even if an influencer may understand the words written, doesn't mean they actually understand it and can assess the quality of the study.
@bxstar52764 ай бұрын
@@Lisa-lisa-lisa-lisa1 that’s correct. So I have also spoken to those with the correct scientific training who have interpreted the data to back up my own research. Obviously I can’t prove anything by that comment as it was years ago and I’m not digging it all up. I’d recommend doing more research. I have qualifications in anatomy, physiology and pathology it’s not hard for me to understand.

I’ve fallen for a lot of them before too. They’re so convincing!! Glad I got out of it before raw meat, eggs and milk became THE THING 😂. I also think many of them have “lost X pounds” because they’ve probably poisoned themselves with bacteria.

@@sportybeth haha yeh! I did try raw milk once but that wasn’t for me and my dad said I was mental because it can be so bad so I never had it again lol. I do like a sea dip every week but apart from an onsen I’ve never bothered with a tub at home. Too far 😆
