The Indiana jones game CPU usage is just... wtf is that?? 10th generation intel as a minimum spec for a game of this scope? Look at games like Battlefield and Delta Force, a lot more stuff going on in the background and the CPU usage is nowhere near as high. Sounds like the demanding specs are there as an excuse for lazy and terrible optimization. Edit: Also there's no way RDR has worse optimization than Indiana Jones.

RT increased cpu usage as well, and that game has forced RTGI, probably one of the reason why, cause if it's poorly optimized, it should scale from the lower end to high end, and for Indy, once you past the recommended spec it's actually very smooth.

I wouldn't mind much if Red Dead 1 uses DX9 because otherwise it would has an excuse for CPU underutilization but the thing is it actually uses DX12 and still managed to not take advantage of multicore rendering of CPU. 🤧🥲

Depend on what priority you aim, longevity? you did the rigt choice, performance? not so much since 4060 is faster although not so significant.

In the context of Marvel Rivals: "You’d expect a free-to-play, stylized, and cartoonish hero shooter to be lightweight and deliver high frame rates." Exactly! Unfortunately, this isn’t the case. The game doesn’t even look particularly good, sure it’s stylized, but the performance requirements don’t match the visuals. And honestly, it doesn’t need to look amazing. For a game like this, the priority should be high frame rates first, visuals second. Plus I'd like to add I don't think RTX 3060, 2070 SUPER level is not midrange anymore. We should stop thinking it like that because lack of optimization says so. We lost and they won. They know that DLSS and FSR exists so in a way optimization is no longer needed.

interesting how some of the worst/most woke games are the smoothest, or at least it seems that way - Veilguard & Outlaws for example they must REALLY want people to buy and play great tier list though, well said

Delta force is really good, unexpected in todays time... although its not extraordinarily optimised...we had bf1 also which looked and played amazingly smooth. My main issue with delta force rn is that native res is broken and looks worse than upscaled FSR AND TSR

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster has ZERO issues if you just turn down the texture setting, which functions a lot like the one in Indiana Jones. It doesn't affect texture quality, just cache/allocation. I think the rating was a bit unfair for a game that runs at native 4k at high framerates on a 6800 XT at max settings with zero stuttering or frametime issues. The only setting that needs adjusted is the texture setting, which even at 3gb allocates more than it should. It also doesn't crash or freeze when vram isn't a problem anymore, literally just adjust the texture setting. It's really that easy.

The amount of mods and tweaks I have to do before Stalker 2 finally being stable all the time is absurd, deserve it's own tier. Great game tho

Givem the jank motion capture we've had from a lot of games recently and given how Suicide Squad has some of the most state of the art motion capture for cutscenes, it does not deserve the Lowest Tier.

Got to Helldivers and immediately I paused the video and stopped watching, I like your optimization videos but man Helldivers 2 in B? What a load of crap, the game runs like ass and is in no way even close to B tier. It doesn't even have proper upscaling lmao. The game is at best D tier, I play it damn near every day, every patch seems to make the game run worse too. Its horribly optimized and the lack of upscaling severely hurts it.

I agree that the visual quality of individual properties is quite subpar. However, credit where it's due: in Helldivers, you could have 50 enemies, 4 players, and numerous strategems active simultaneously. From a CPU performance standpoint, that's well-executed. This game really just needs better upsampler aka DLSS :). The FSR implementation here is terrible. It doesn’t improve FPS much and looks awful, almost like an early version of FSR. I can’t understand why they insist on not including DLSS.

@@goktug4618 The game doesn't have FSR, it doesn't have any upscaling. All the render scale does is lower the internal resolution. The game is in desperate needs of proper upscaling, DLSS, FSR and XESS are needed right now. They wont include it because they don't think its worth the time to implement it, yes they're fucking idiots, shocker.

To me Silent hill has random stutters but it's very short, stalker on the other hand hogs vram and the fps goes into the single digits constantly because of it, unplayable for me as of now
