Calling Barkov underrated then proceeding to put him at #6 on this list is crazy, literally still underrating him.

Putting Barkov at #6 out of all the centers in the entire nhl is NOT underrating him. Yes he is an elite center, but I will say that I can name 5 other centers that are better. So to be ranked 6th out of over 100+ centers is NOT underrating him because there are just so damn many awesome centers in the league, so unless you can honestly say you really cannot name 5 other centers who are better than him, just let it go.

@@StevenStamkos91 After what Barkov did in the post season, putting him behind Hughes is definitely questionable. His ability to forecheck, pk, and score goals in tight is so much more valuable than points per game stat that is inflated in the regular season. Barkov is so much better built for playoff hockey than Hughes and Matthews.

You are so right! Matthews isn't a top 10, he's making no plays and points. All he does is scoring goals. It's close between mack and draisaitl and Barkov also is by far in front of Matthews. These are with McDavid the 4 top center of the league! But Austin Matthews as Nr 3 is a joke!

Having Pettersson at 8 after last season I think is way too high honestly. Doesn't come close to my top 10. I also don't understand what Miller has to do to be worthy of your top 10. Not even Barkov the best defensive centre in the league by a mile shut McDavid down like Miller did in that series. I believe points were dead even or Miller may have even outscored him.

Pretty good list overall but I would drop Hughes to 10. I don't think he's anywhere close to Barkov or Crosby as a center right now. Better at producing points maybe but both of those guys would eat him alive in a matchup.

I would venture to say Barkov at #3. Jumping Hughes is easy based on the skill on both ends of the ice shutting down each teams top forwards en route to a championship, jumping Leon based solely on Leon gives up on plays and does not have a defensive game, and challenges Matthews again based off of Matthews not having a defensive side of his game and he hasnt been able to lead his team past the 2nd round. Mckennen at 2 is fine because he has a cup and has some solid defensive traits but also scores like crazy, and then Mcdavid is just a cheat code of a human being..... except against Barkov... so really Barkov should be #1..... #catsfan #noshame Thanks for the list, entertaining for sure!

Austin Matthews in the top 3 - are you drunken? A player who only scores in the regular season but beverage under pressure ranked in front of Draisaitl , Barkov or Hughes? Matthews maybe gets as number as 10 a spot on your list but that's it. The three best players in the league right now are McDavid, Mackinnon and Draisaitl. Barkov, Hughes, Patterson, and others ate following anders will become better and better... But Matthews is a scorer and never a guy who makes the plays.

Ceiling means nothing, only what player actually does. Barkov just won Stanley Cup and was able to shut down top lines and top players time after time. If Barkov was north americn, he would be number one or number two in this list. Putting Hughes ahead Barkov is disrespectful.
