I can agree with Yuki's being number 1 when it comes to looks. But for me, the true number one is Daniel's tribute. The history and emotions behind that helmet makes it number one. Even if it doesn't "look as good" as some of the others. RIP.

worth mentioning that maz’s helmet is centered around the University of Texas, which is a huge uni in Austin. Same color scheme, and their mascot is the “Longhorns” which he sort of had on the front

I think if you swap Danny Ric's and Lando's you've nailed the list. I like the simple, clean look of Daniel's, plus the backstory is excellent. On the flip side I think stars and stripes is so lazy from Lando, and aesthetically it's been done to death in better ways, far better nods to the locale from Valterri, Mick and Nikita. But Yuki's is a thing of beauty, it should be his lid permanently.

Your ranking and your reasoning is solid. People might have different taste, but you defend yours well. As someone from Austin, I loved Bottas’ design. He did his homework and the design was tasteful and unique. Someone else said the next bit- but a ranking of how they looked in the car would have been interesting. Some of the designs clearly accounted for that POV in the design. Others did not.

My top three Lando Dani Mick The dale tribute looks amazing to me, Lando’s helmet looks like he literally took the flag and wrapped it on his helmet in the best way possible, and Mick’s helmet has that ornate design you would see on a revolver in a western film, with that Texas flag and the rust weathering it kind of just works to me

Not to be rude but I disagree with Daniel being last. As a big nascar fan and F1 fan Dale is possibly one of the best and if he never died he could have been the best. His legacy in not only nascar but throughout America in general is quite large. His death still affects many in nascar today and some still have not gotten over it. I understand the reason but you can’t underestimate his impact in America.

Lando's helmet was gaudy, imo. It looks like the kind of thing that a European would think Americans want to see. Meanwhile Daniel and Valterri had much more nuanced tributes to place and person. I also didn't like George's helmet. Not sure if a tribute to the police is really what we need or want right now, but I guess I don't know George's political leanings.

Stroll's helmet actually resembles a Toronto MapleLeafs NHL jersey. The thin lines doubly act as orbits and the thin pinstripes on their jerseys.
