Being an adult is realizing that Activision would be better inviting Milo to Call of Duty previews and events because he will bring meaningful, impactful feedback, but they never will because they would rather surround themselves with "yes" men and the state of the series will only suffer from it. Why are people SO loyal to Activision???? I genuinely don’t understand it, they’ve consistently taken advantage of us, mislead us, flat out lied to us, broken promises, etc etc. Even IF someone was being negative towards Call of Duty…. Don’t they deserve it??? I’m STILL mad about them just completely dropping MW3 zombies after that was the only reason I bought the game, a big part of that being Treyarch’s name attached to the project, the initial content on release looking exciting, and my friends wanting to play with me. I genuinely feel scammed. Maybe I’m just jaded, but I cannot stand Call of Duty worship. If they had any idea on what it takes to create a game that’s gonna make the community happy again, MrRoflWaffles would be the FIRST person invited to COD events. "Why are people SO loyal to Activision?" To put it simply, corporations hold the key to their favorite drug. In this case, Call of Duty: A product designed to siphon as much dopamine as possible from easily manipulated human beings, those with addictive tendencies. Sure, the simulated gambling Advanced Warfare introduced a decade ago, has departed the franchise forever, but Activision have employed other manipulative tactics with direct purchases present in the item shop. They're attempting to emulate Fortnite's successful business model, basically and they've achieved this for the most part. All while the people who've willingly trapped themselves within Activision's ecosystem, for whatever reason, aren't changing their minds anytime soon. No matter the discourse. They don't care about the hard-working developers, or the state of the games industry, or the fact that these corporation don't see their customers as people --- they just want their fix. I understand. Reality sort of sucks right now. People are doing what they can to cope, and escapism, while a crutch, definitely fulfills that function. Call of Duty included. It's the fast food of gaming in that it's a quick, easy high. Good in short bursts, but definitely unhealthy on a regular basis. The addicts have no concept of the latter, or they're completely indifferent.

I've had people call me negative before and I told them it was their perception that added the negative tag to what I had said. I try (and fail sometimes) to not be biased and to people that love something a lot they can sometimes think you are attacking them by saying something critical about what they like when you love it too but can see it's flaws. Still it's worth being honest and hopefully the discussion can lead to problems that can be fixed.

Numbers aside, what makes Blackops games stand out to me is their unique ideas. You get cool twists on history and well known people (Alcatraz, Cold War events, JFK… I could go on). people dont seem to understand something very simple: youve been critical of the past few zombies games weve gotten, not because you want to be negative, but because you want to see the devs improve the mode we love. when weve been fed slop for three or so games in a row (zombies wise), its hard to be fake and say its good when it just isnt. i think people have only taken this "negative" angle recently because theyre finally excited for a zombies experience again, which is good, but its unfair that theyre taking the criticism youre making and twisting it to fit their narrative. im excited for bo6, but we cant disregard the blatant lack of care from the devs with their last few titles and just blindly believe the game will be great, especially when we know almost nothing about zombies so far. everyone needs to know that it is entirely okay to go into a game with skepticism and critique with the knowledge we have on it so far.
@aBadWizard3 ай бұрын
Skepticism is not only healthy, but should be encouraged in an industry that has proven to be untrustworthy lately. Toxic positivity inevitably leads to negativity via disappointment due to unmet expectations. Since CoD/Activision have lost the trust of the zombies community, the content creators that they're not paying off are naturally going to be more likely to share their honest thoughts and opinions. We value those honest thoughts and opinions as viewers with questions and concerns about upcoming titles. Thanks again for your dedication to the CoD Zombies community!

I think as community we need to stand more with Milo, he is one of the very few influential content creators that is addressing the elephant in the room and I just find it sad that he needs to make a video to outline what all of us should’ve seen from the beginning. Milo my brother, I’m at the start of my content creating “career” and I respect your views and how you are presenting your arguments. We are here to enjoy a game that has originally brought all of us together and it’s just sad to see how the industry is moving away from that same purpose. Keep it up Milo and stay real man!

A lot of people have been saying you’ve been being “negative for the sake of being negative” since all the way back in BO4. Giving critiques and opinions on something you’re deeply passionate about is how you change things for the better. If that didn’t happen Treyarch would’ve thought Vanguard zombies was the right way to go.

I'd rather content creators be honest. The most annoying thing about our society today is so many people are too often ready to get offended by someone just providing information, whether that was information given with or without an opinion. Milo, you're amazing providing good valuable information. Far better than most content creators! Also whenever you do give your opinions and beliefs you're always really good at providing good information around that.

Extremely fair to be skeptical because this community has been burned so many times before. But YOU are THE cod zombies guy. You are that guy. Call me naive but I think this could be the best cod zombies experience we have gotten since BO3 because treyarch finally have a full development cycle. This is going to sound like more sympathy than empathy, but hearing you talk, hearing the way you have to constantly explain yourself and pre-debate rebuttals that haven’t even happened yet, is so similar to how I talk to people. I always play the neutral party. I never want people to see me as taking sides but I always want to work out the best of both worlds for both parties. I grew up in a “yes/no” household. I did what I was told to do and even if I had good reason to why something shouldn’t be done or could perhaps be done differently, it wasn’t to be heard. It was taken as a challenge, or that I was talking back to my parents. And I’ve seen how just the internet and opinions in general are like that today. You can argue your point or provide clear facts but as long as one person thinks you’re being negative towards something they’re passionate about, they’ll see you as a target. And they’ll recruit as many haters to jump on their negativity train. So back to you Milo…keep at it man. You’re doing an amazing job and all of us that are here to support you are rooting for you. With that trait of over explaining and over analyzing comes the bonus effect of getting to see into someone’s head and see how truly passionate they are about something. It’s not a “mine’s better, yours is worse argument” it’s a scientific breakdown on why things set off those fireworks in our soles that we love in so many things in life; in this case, zombies. It’s something that almost never came about yet COD clearly can’t succeed anymore without a zombies mode. And we did that. Everyone who ever played and loved zombies did that and made this community and the games they play great. You did that Milo. Before finding your channel, the over arching story was just a blur to me. But you connected the dots in a way the we can understand and see how you see it. See how the devs hoped we’d see it. And I’m certain there are thousands more like me that just needed that push in the right direction towards such a small niche community. You did that Milo. And I’m so glad you’re defending yourself the same way you present any kind of information. With patience, with facts, with precision. You don’t jump to conclusions. You don’t point fingers. You don’t try to pick a fight. And you don’t give them reason to continue pursuing you in the first place. As long as you can provide context and keep a level head for those poor mislead followers of negativity, they too can be led to the greatness that is your community. Lead them Milo. Be their shepherd. Their Shepherd of Fire. I do hope finds you

I do believe that people take things face value too much these days and only hear what they want to hear. It's just sad that people will hear something from someone and not try to figure it out if it's really true or not like people assuming that you are negative. People think all KZbinrs theses days are either A) Someone who complains about anything B) Someone who is blinded by to something C) Someone who is dumb because they don't like someones opinion about it. Criticism and statistics is a big part of this channel which I love since I am a big nerd myself, but not everyone is going to take the time to watch something and instead just assume what someone says from a person they know. One of the biggest things a KZbinr needs to maintain more than ever in my opinion is a reputation. Since people are now less likely these days to actually search something up to see for themselves. People will look at a Tiktok saying maybe "Milo doesn't know what he is talkking about" and that people who don't know you will believe it and then when someone says something negative about your criticism the people who watched that video before will be like "Milo is not a true cod fan" or "Milo is negative." But if I have opinion saying "If Black Opes 6 is only online then the campaign should be able to have play with each other like BO3." People won't care since I'm nobody online you will never see again compared to someone like Milo who is always going to be seen online. Overall This was an amazing video Milo even if people don't want to hear you passionately speak your opinion. This community will and I hope you continue doing these type of videos. ❤
