Dimitri it’s good to hear an intelligent argument as to why Iran has every right to defend itself. I’m currently listening to the UN Security Council meeting taking place and there’s no doubt that there’s a blanket amnesia in that room with most of the countries thinking that Israel was attacked for no reason whatsoever. I am from Iraq, and I remember when Iran used to cry out to the UN and in the international arena about chemical weapons being used against them when all the West was doing was providing even more chemical weapons to Saddam and not letting Iran be heard at all

Not to dismiss your knowledge of your own country, but the West did not actually provide chemical weapons to the dictator. Western governments *did* choose not to sanction the Iraqi government, and as a consequence Western corporations were selling dual-use chemicals to the Iraqi government, which in turn produced actual chemical weapons. The U.S. government did provide targeting-intelligence to the Iraqi government knowing that it was using chemical weapons against Iranian troops. Western governments did not know how much chemical weaponry was being produced by the Iraqi regime; no living person to this day knows the exact quantity produced.

"Historical sickness" is redundant next to the excellent word "amnesia". On substance your backgrounding is on point.
