Knocked Loose is the definition of “metalcore.” In the sense of what metalcore started as in the mid 90s. Blending extreme metal and hardcore/hardcore punk. Most big popular metalcore bands You’ll find nowadays and back through the 2000 to 2010’s would sound different than this. But “traditional metalcore” such as this is making a resurgence.

Sounds like you're into the hardcore vibe, hard to quantify the difference between metal and hardcore to me but I feel like its like metal is to regular rock as hardcore is to punk rock (or something like that.)
