Ocean Eyes was written by Finneas for his band The Slightlys but he didn’t think that it sounded right so he asked Billie if she wanted to sing it. She did, they uploaded it to SoundCloud, it blew up, and here we are. You can find old video of them singing Ocean Eyes , Six Feet Under and covers of Bad and End Of The World. Billie has always been Billie and Finneas and on tour that included Andrew Marshall on drums- until this tour when she’s got a band of her own and back up singers ( not here) but they are friends of hers. She is swaggy as f❤️ck! If you do her discography start with her EP Don’t Smile At Me. And when you do her latest album HMHAS do it start to finish.

billie actually released her first song “ocean eyes” the day after she turned 13, so yes, she was really young! 14-15 was when she started to really blow up which is crazy

Uh no - she didn't get started when she was 16. She recorded "Ocean Eyes" when she was 13 and Finneas was 18 , and it was released shortly after she turned 14. She's been in the music industry since she was 14 - not 16.
