Enjoyed this video! I thought this was chockful of great tips from an expert in his field. Perhaps it would also be good to provide price indications as every new angler starting out will be conscious of budget. The Storm Discovery rods and the Daiwa Revros reels are a good affordable set for beginners to learn and grow with,

Thank you for this very nice and informative video.. as a beginner, I have a question: in your experience of SG Freshwater (reservoirs) lure fishing, do you have any recommendation on the type and colour of line that work best for both main and leader lines? :)
@RapalaSoutheastAsia4 жыл бұрын
Hi, as a beginner fishing legal grounds, we would recommend braided line of about 10lb, fluorocarbon leader about 10-15lb depending on your target species. No preference for line color :) Fish can be picky at legal grounds so if you want to go for lighter setup, then 6lb braided line, 8lb leader. Good luck!

Hi Fred I love fishing but since Covid , have stopped since December '2019 after I returned from ShenZhen , ZhuHai & Macau tour I'm not a pro angler so I did learn watching your video Thank you 🙏 But you missed out reminding the public why you're using Artificial Lures & not live baits It's all so familiar to us Singapore's law prohibits using all sorts of baits (like bread , earthworms , prawns etc...) that could cause pollution in our reservoirs water And it's even stated in PUB's website , "there will be a fine of $3000/- dollars" I too posted my fishing catch videos in KZbin But I'm not a pro & lack editing software So it's crude & presentations wise it's a thumb's down Thank you again...
