"There's no beef" explains Casual of the legendary Hieroglyphics crew, while unleashing a storm of clever wordplay and hilarious jabs at Eminem for claiming the #RapGod moniker when one already exists. "But I been #Rapgod" he says in response to Em's latest single, titled "Rap God." Casual responds with "He Still Think He #Rapgod," a track that reminds hip hop fans that it was him who first claimed that title. The Hiero rapper released his album HE Think He #RapGod back in 2011.

About a year ago, when I first found this song, I was disappointed Casual responded to Eminem’s Rap God. I thought Casual would be above doing a song like this. There are a lot of things I don’t like about Eminem; I can’t relate to what he rhymes about, but as far as rhyme schemes go, I have an immense amount of respect for him. Before I closely listened to Casual’s version, I would have said Eminem would win hands down in a battle if I was judging based upon nothing but rhyme schemes (complexity, variations, unpredictability, ect), but now that I’ve listened closely to Casual version… I’d give it to Casual for this round (just my opinion, of course), but only because it seemed like he had a wider variation of unpredictable styles, and his lyrics were more creative/poetic with less ego. He also implied that at one time Eminem did spit fire, so I felt like Casual was as much of a gentlemen as one can be while doing a song like this. #casualrapgod
