Elote (E-Low-Tay) is often sold on the streets of Mexico. It is corn grilled over fire in husk. A stick is usually inserted in the stem end, the husk is pulled back and a mayonnaise cream sauce, chili, lime, and crumbled Cotija (Ko-Tee-Ha) cheese is sprinkled on the corn. Cotija tastes a lot like Feta to me and is a cow's milk cheese. I love Elote but I really love sweet creamed corn, too. They are very different so it is okay to love both but really not fair to compare one to the other. It is a lot like comparing BBQ Brisket and Lemon Cake, they are almost two completely different things. Though corn is often eaten as a vegetable, it is technically a grain so it is used and prepared in both sweet and savory manners. All the foods you chose looked amazing though I would probably skip the cute ice cream store just because I am a savory food person but it still looked fantastic and I would definitely recommend it for people who had kids.
