Just bought the new Owon, the zero function is good, not as unstable as the Uni-t.

@@Raphael_Hofmann No, although I did buy the 6000 count version as well which was not to my liking. The Owon is slightly better to use for less money, but I wouldn't call it an upgrade or a must-have if I had the uni-t.

As other users have already mentioned, what do you think about the Owon CM2100? Do you believe it can also be modified like the UT210E?

On paper, it has some similarities. But if there is a different EEPROM chip, than we can not modify it, without a translation of what all those values mean. I am curious, if someone has the time to test that. Do you want to be the first one? The no-bluetooth variant is certainly cheap on Aliexpress.

@@Raphael_Hofmann I already bought one. The main chip is unmarked. The EEPROM chip is hidden below the display, the model is HE24C08. I have no experience with these things, if I buy a programmer could you help me with backing up and translating the data?

My ut210e dc voltage all the sudden is not accurate anymore and I guess I need to buy new. Should I buy something different??? I need the dc voltage and low current functions mostly. What else is available in this range of low amps measurements and up to 100 amps max??

For the price, the UT210E is really a good device and for low currents the resolution is good. There are more expansive Clampmeters out there. But I don't know any, that automaticly start in DC-Current. If you find one, that satisfies you, please leave a further comment. I am also curious.

@@jacobhendrickson8935 There are 3 potentiometers on the PCB. I never had to adjust one of them. You could try that before buying a new one.

@@Raphael_Hofmann ok thanks, it’s very weird it has always been accurate and the other day I was testing fuses for continuity. Could I have caused this by touching the probes together in the wrong selection?? Because after this dc voltage was no longer accurate.

@@jacobhendrickson8935 No, tuching the probes together should have no impact, no matter which mode. Did you try to replace/charge the 9V battery?

The owon may be 20000 counts but not in current measurement, then it’s just 2000 counts.

​@@justmenot3649Sounds like the Owon loses 1 digit of display when measuring Amps/Current so you are losing the last digit of resolution. i.e., 199.99amps would only display at 199.9amps losing the least significant digit.
