I like the small connect for its size and because I can charge the triggers like a cellphone. Hopefully this new remote will have that option in the future with a rechargeable lithium battery pack option. 😊🙌🏽

100% I hope the same!

But will this new Connect Pro (non-til) fit on the side shoe of an RZ67 without interfering with the focusing knob??? I have the round Connect, and it will physically fit, but it fires twice on the RZ, once at shutter open and then again at shutter close. I have two RZ67 Pro-II bodies and it does this on both. However, an Air Remote (non-TTL) using a hot-shoe to 3.5mm sync cable does *_not_* double fire. I also noticed the Connect Pro apparently does not have any 3.5mm sync ports(?)

No idea if it will fit as I don't own that camera... looks like it would clear space for finders and focus/zoom operation of lenses. Correct no 3.5mm sync ports. Interesting why it fires twice. I recommend bringing your camera along to a profoto dealers to test out the features you need to make sure this is a good fit for you.

Will the new connect pro work with all profoto lights or just the newer models? I have B1x, D1, and A10’s. and now just recently purchased some B10x. I own the older remote. Will that still work with newer and older lights or should I upgrade? Thank you!

THe new remote will work with all Profoto lights. The only feature that you won't be able to get is the Air2 feature where it shows you the power of the flash right on the remote (this is only available for Bluetooth enabled units), but all other functions will remain the same and working. HOpe that helps.

is the new pro controller HSS capable? the website doesnt mention it anywhere
@RaphNogalPhotography2 жыл бұрын
Yes 100% you will get HSS and TTL with dedicated brand remotes (Sony, NIkon, Canon, Fuji, Leica). There is a non-ttl version (like the one in my video) that has a single pin and will fire from any camera, but that particular version (non-ttl version) will not have TTL or HSS. Hope that helps.

How is the hot shoe mount build quality? I have the one in the middle and the mount is failing on me which leaves me having to choose between too big and too incapable. If the big one has a good hot shoe mount I'll go for that…
@RaphNogalPhotography2 жыл бұрын
Seems pretty solid, but it is plastic. I'm also waiting for the SOny version so I can put it to the test in the field.
@louisrafaelcom2 жыл бұрын
@@RaphNogalPhotography Turns out the mount was failing especially because one of the screws had completely come out of its hole and the others were all loose. In addition, I was getting only about 1 frame per second, which turned out to be a firmware issue. All back to proper function now!

Bigger & shinier, the two exact opposites of what you want attached to your camera. Still sticks out like a sore thumb like all the other brands too. It needs to be short, stubby, flat lying and non reflective. SIMPLE!

All valid points!

The size is determined by functionality, including battery duration, and is easy to use, and who cares about the shinier part?

Nice review, but "sleek" it is not, especially compared to its predecessor. LOL

Well that's subjectinve. To me it has simple lines, curved adges, looks clean...... so i say sleek lol but to each their own :)
