Rapid Access and Extrication on EVs

I can see that being helpful on car fires, once it’s knocked down a little and you can get close ; as opposed to the usual wrestling with the pry bar or halligan. I’ve also seen something about taking one of the headlights out to access the cable

I bet that hood left a mark when it popped up. Please give me a situation where popping the hood in that manner is relevant. Safest way to pop that hood since you didn’t give any type of scenario except it’s an EV is reach in the window and pull the latch. Most are in arms reach.

Hello friend, very good points and as a best practice, yes we should always try and pop the hood via hood release or go through the Tesla Touch Screen and activate the hood release. This is a simple example for any vehicle to access the First Responder Cut loop or low voltage battery when access is limited and base on your rescue assignment. Thank you for watching - Jason Defosse
