This man is the entire reason Stevie Nicks fronted Fleetwood Mac. Mick Fleetwood (also in this video) only wanted Lindsey but Stevie and Lindsey were in a relationship and he refused to join the band without her. The rest is history. 🙂 Fun Fact: Lindsey sings the Vacation movies theme song. It's called Holiday Road.

Lindsay was the guitar player and co-writer in the band. In this "Trouble" video, you can see some of the former members of Fleetwood Mac in the early 1970's like Bob Welch & Bob Weston, along with current & original member Mick Fleetwood on drums with beard. album producer/guitarist Walter Egan can also be seen in video.

Most of the members of Fleetwood Mac have all had solo projects and often help each other. Lindsey Buckingham is, of course, the guitarist and one of the lead singers, as many have now pointed out. And the tall bearded drummer is Mick Fleetwood. When BP said “It has a kind of a Fleetwood Mac vibe.” I sat on the edge of seat for him to make the final connection. 😂 He even looked at his phone, but like all sources of information, you have to ask the right question. “Who is Lindsey Buckingham?” That would have given pages of info on Lindsey’s long career.

Stevie Nicks and her then-boyfriend, Lindsey Buckingham, were recording as a duo in the early '70s using the name "Buckingham-Nicks" before they joined Fleetwood Mac. They had already released an album in September 1973 called "Buckingham Nicks", which really sounds like an amazing blueprint for the most successful phase of Fleetwood Mac's musical journey. They broke up shortly after joining the band. His Fleetwood Mac song about the breakup, "Go Your Own Way" and her reply, "Silver Springs", are must listens!

"Trouble" was the debut solo single by Lindsey Buckingham, released in 1981 from his debut solo album Law and Order. He is better known as the amazing lead guitarist and co-lead vocalist of Fleetwood Mac from 1975 to 1987 and 1997 to 2018. Your eyes have been too focused on Stevie Nicks. 😉 On one side of Lindsey in the video for Trouble are five guitarists and a bass player, all dressed in white. On the other side are six drummers, all dressed in black. The two lines of musicians form a V shape, with Lindsey in the center. The guitarists include Walter Egan, Lindsey's long-time friend and singer of the late seventies hit Magnet and Steel, as well as Bob Welch and Bob Weston, from earlier versions of Fleetwood Mac. The drummers include his bandmate, Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac.

Yeah...there's a good reason for your getting a Fleetwood Mac vibe to this song! Before they joined Fleetwood Mac, when he and Stevie Nicks were a couple, they released an album in 1973 called Buckingham Nicks that had several good tracks on it. "Don't Let Me Down Again" and "Crying in the Night" are songs that sound very Fleetwood Mac-y. The song "Crystal" is one Lindsey sang on the Buckingham Nicks album, and Fleetwood Mac later redid it featuring Stevie as the vocalist. "Long Distance Winner" is another nice one that showcases Stevie's voice, as does "Races are Run". The latter also has some nice harmonies between them.

In 1981 everyone HAD to make videos. Whether they wanted to or not. It was the hot new thing and the record companies were fully into it. Now, there was no real standard yet for what a music video *should* look like, so everyone did their own thing. Sometimes lightning in a bottle and they are still enjoyed today. Most of the time weren't inspired either way and then, some were...something else entirely. This one is mostly of the "meh" category, but someone realized that at the time and just stuck on the silly intro. I love younger reactors watching music videos from about 79-83. A whole lot of fun nonsense going on. Once Hungry Like The Wolf hit, things got a lot more professional and less amateurishly creative. Plus the artists themselves were on board by 83-84 and they all were making watchable videos. Except for Rush. I think they made janky videos on purpose because they just didn't like medium at all. Their silly tour videos were actually quite creative.
