@@kingscorpion7346 It was a nice Spring night in 1974. I was a 20-year-old college student, hanging out with some friends in the dorm. Someone came hurrying down the hallway, telling everyone she came to that there were streakers who were going to show up in Bunce Hall quad soon! All of us quickly went there, waiting in anticipation. It was us, plus hundreds of other students at 11pm.

I stumbled across this song a few years back, somehow. I think I was listening to S.I.M.P. again? It's a logical leap, especially with my love of country. I'd never heard of him, but I immediately ADORED the song! Ignoring the humor, this style of country music is among my favorites, the talking with melody and a musical chorus? Ugh, amazing. For some reason I've avoided his other content, though... and I feel bad about that, because I don't doubt I'd love it. I just... don't know why I was AVOIDING it...

it is a shame that you let the church turn you away from God. The church is not God and is nowhere near what God would want. I am no longer in the church but i still fully believe in God and His Son Jesus. It is a shame that you judged God based on what the church has done instead of getting to know Him yourself. Do you think that is fair? How would you like to be judged based on someone else's actions and not your own?

Ah yes! The days of streaking. All the boys in my graduating class were expelled for streaking around the school building on the last day of classes. It was awesome, but the school was not going to let any of them graduate. When we gals found out, we all refused to graduate. It was an entire battle. So; the compromise. The boys ended up attending graduation, but got blank diplomas and they had to attend summer school to actually get their diploma. We didn't think it was right for all the boys in the Sr class to be so severely punished for a Senior prank, and an awesome one at that! LOL Ah, yet! The good old days!

She was so mad thinking here he goes buying something stupid but I can't tell you how many times my Pa and I watched it together. They have passed but I still have the tape. Thank you! Sometimes music is just plain, old fun. I love how music opens you up, brings out the memories, makes you feel every emotion there is and I LOVE your reaction to this one and how it even got you singing and joining in. Just plain fun!

Saw Ray in Branson, MO in the early '90's. He did all his greatest songs during his show while acting many of them out. He had the entire audience literally rolling in the aisles. I bought a VHS tape and totally wore it out. As a kid, we were one of five families that started a new church. For the one-year anniversary we had an outside picnic, and right before we all sat down to eat, a squirrel ran right through the crowd and right up a tree.

Ray Stevens is amazing! He is extremely intelligent and so very articulate and has a sense of humor that is unmeasurable! Everything literally that he has done is either extremely beautiful but for the most part comedic. You just can't go wrong no matter what you select so I hope to see you go down his rabbit hole! My parents are no longer with me but I have watched Ray Stevens with them and my siblings my entire life!
