In terms of demographic and general ideology the people complimenting her in the replies are typically not the crowd that carries these same opinions vs simply supporting the artist and listening to her express her own thoughts. Give people more credit than that. I don’t subscribe to a lot of what she said but in order to bring any amount of change to the world, why not look at the issue through a lens of understanding where those views might come from vs projecting and taking it personally? Just bc she’s a celeb doesn’t mean she had a perfect upbringing (which she acknowledged) and doesn’t have room to grow (also acknowledged). I’m older than her and again, don’t see things the way she does but she has time to come into that and I do believe she can. The difference is she wasn’t malicious about it and she even admits to her faults if you listen. Or when she says it’s a bad thing that she directs her partners sexually. This is a young woman who was likely told like the rest of us that asserting herself is wrong period and definitely wrong in sexual situations, so what she said likely reflects that. Listening to understand rather than judge makes a difference
