I am SO glad you broke this one down. This song dropped a year after my fall from religion. Hearing Hop having the same doubts I did was incredibly empowering for me. Turning that focus and that faith toward mankind has given me brighter days than I had, living in fear of sin. Even today this track is so powerful to me. Thanks Knox, feel better brother.

Jesus according to the Gospels defeated sin. Not one person in Jesus is in fear to their sin. Jesus is the one who has power over death and sin. Jesus separates your sin further than east is from west. Putting faith in Jesus is the only way to Heaven because He is the only door to go through. Anyone that climbs in another way the same is a thief. Evil and sin have been accounted to God himself. He took the punishment for us and lived a perfect life in our place! We all meet death but God will sort out His harvest and make a new Heaven and a new Earth. The former things have passed away and behold all things new. Butt. The devil ain't done yet! Much love ! Nice breakdown knox as usual

@Im_Quartz Jesus is the only way in my opinion. Living a good life is cool and all but God made this place and he will destroy it. If we believe that or not it doesn't matter its fact. If you don't believe the fact then cool good for you. I'm just putting my opinion out there ya know, what the Gospel says about Jesus. Hopsin is great and all but he's asking questions that are answered like first page. I hope your search for truth goes well. I'm also lookin around here and there and putting some thoughts on the table. I have jammed this song for a lonngggg time and spoke with many I showed the song to its a good song gets ya thinkin

@@andrewdominick1000 I blindly followed Christianity for years, and man it messed me up for years. I used to ramble the exact same thing you have, to everyone I knew. I would quote scripture, and tell everyone that everything I had was because of him, now I can see looking at your responses how pretentious I must have appeared to the people "I was trying to save", just writing that in quotes makes me realize it was pretentious. I don't even recognize that old version of me anymore. I'm still glad that I came from that place though because I took some of the good with me (the truth is that without the 10 commandments we never could have gotten to the point we are at right now, we had to trust one another to work together, and we couldn't trust each other until we established some rules we all would follow). So we actually really needed it at th time of its creation. The one thing I struggled with is the thing that also made me believe that it was manipulation, "Blasphemy" The only "unforgivable sin" is denying him. Now I can look back at this one and chuckle. The thing that held me hostage for so long, i finally see it for what it is, the biggest control tactic of all time. If I'm trying to convince you of the validity of something, I cannot say that the only unforgivable thing is to question it. I have no idea how I believed something where the only caveat is, you can't ever tell someone you don't believe it. Highly suspect, right? I know you are going to do what I would have done and send me back a 3 page answer with scripture, and how the only way to heaven is through him, and then quote a bunch of scripture that I already know and have quoted thousands of times, so please don't. Just know that you may not always feel the same way. It took me 35 years before I did. There was no tragedy that took place either. Actually i was the idiot praying to God to help me while all the tragedies were happening. Molested by my step dad who beat us with a 2×4. He would go to church every Sunday though and ask God to forgive him, and cry in front of everyone who believed he was a man of god. I cried to God every day to kill me, or my step-dad, for 7 years. What a dumb nieve 7 year old I was. Those things have nothing to do with my lack of faith, its the manipulation tactics that I couldn't see for a very long time. The blind faith nonsense. I don't even put blind faith in myself. Actually any person of sound judgment would never tell you to put blind faith in anything. For every so called miracle there is a woman or child being held down and raped at that same moment, or murdered, or tortured etc... I noticed that Christians don't hold God accountable for anything. If it is great then its a miracle, and God blessed you, If it's a tragedy then he's testing you, or you can't see his plan. There may very well be a creator, but in the deepest part of my soul I know he cannot be the "christian" God I grew up with. *Edited for grammatical errors*

I love this. I'm no longer religious either, but that doesn't stop me for a second from listening to someone great who does. I love NF, and Jordan Peterson as well, and they both are very religious. At first when I started reading jordan petersons books it was tough because he quotes a lot of stories in the Bible. However, since I respect him and his work I listen knowing that he chose a reason to showcase these stories. It's important to avoid the echo chambers, so I force myself to listen to the most compelling arguments.

I cried a few times to it, I still have to hold myself back when I rewatch it, because these are natural thoughts and doubts that we all have, but for some like him and everyone else who needs a way out of their living hell that isnt suicide, the anger and hopelessness we feel are perfectly portrayed. I want proof, I want to know if there's a happy ending, I want the pain the stop, I want to know what the meaning of it all is if there even is one, I want to be saved.

@@ImThatBlackGuy Just to interject, I come from a religious background, but no longer believe. An afterlife... No, I don't believe in it. An afterlife is a white lie many believe, because believing in the alternative is too stressful and scary for many to accept. I believe the whole belief system stems from Ego. "I'm made in HIS image and I am loved, accepted and Special, so he wouldn't just let ME die and vanish, because I, I, I, ME, ME, ME." Really, the only useful thing to practice from any sort of ideology is to treat others the way you want to be treated, but that isn't always possible if you don't want to die. Not everyone has the luxury of peace - enough of it to live as you'd prefer.
@ImThatBlackGuy

@@jman8350 I understandable but our ancestors was smarter than we think. Its over 2k confirmed cases of reincarnation also are energy beings everything we do is energy based our energy will never die it changes forms not trying to change your mind but im just giving you information. Also alot of people see “ghosts” or “sprits” while on their death bed its confirmed our brain doesn’t produce enough DMT to even hallucinate those things we probably still don’t have a understanding of it but I don’t believe our conscious dies when we die. We can see the energy leave our brain when we truly die. The people who “died” and came back never truly died their hearts just stopped that’s enough evidence for me to believe we still live after death. It might not be the same as living on earth though. After all the only people who said we wont live after death is humans. I am high so some stuff might be worded weird lol

In your own human understanding, your self righteousness is good enough. Not understanding God's standards are not the same as our standards. Not knowing that Satan is a predator of souls & also flesh. The power structure looks like this.... 1) God The Creator 2) Satan The Destroyer 3) Humans The Pawns of Satan. If you understood how The Serpent took Adam's CROWN, DOMINION & even his QUEEN, you might understand that Morpheus was correct when he told Neo that he was a SLAVE just like everyone else. Born into a prison of the mind aka The Matrix. All humans (non-hybrids) are carbon copies of ADAM who ultimately lost everything when he relied on his own LIMITED understanding & CHOSE to BELIEVE Satan's Lies instead of God's Truths. Jesus Christ came to the earth to reverse the FALL of humankind from God's GRACE. His BLOOD contained the GOD GENE PARTICLE which He SOWED into the EARTH when he died on the cross. Which aupernaturally DOWNLOADED God's SEED into all human DNA. The question is, will your SOUL bear the FRUITS of eternal life (God's Holy Spirit)? Or will you remain a SLAVE to Sin, Death & Hail, not knowing this whole world is a trap & a snare of Satan bc he rules this fallen world until time literally ends & Jesus Christ returns to create a new earth & new heaven. SATAN, his minions & his slaves are going to be quarantined for a very long time in a parallel universe. True srory.

@@erockmusic100 This FALLEN world is Satan's Kingdom. He has legal authority to rule over FALLEN humans who are in rebellion against God, their Creator. God is the Big Boss & Satan is the Little Boss..Satan must play by God's rules to keep his authority. God mandated that the humans be given access to THE WORD OF GOD, The Words of Truth, The Words of Life. God's Holy Spirit possessed men & instructs them to write HIS words. Just like The Demon Spirits can possess men to write His words in rap songs, or whatever medium. Even science has reached the conclusion of multiple dimensions, multi-verses, parallel universes. But most humans are so busy chasing their false idols & so comfortable in the status quo of Satan's deceptions, they fail to see that Science is in agreement to the existence of realities beyond the 4 dimensional natural realm. Which would be the super natural realms aka The Spirit world. To their own detriment & destruction. Lemmings following each other off the cliff & refusing to follow the only ONE who came to show us The WAY, The TRUTH & The LIFE everlasting, His name is JESUS CHRIST, The Son of God & also The Son of Man (Adam). The BIBLE is His Story & Man's Story & What God expects from Humans. The most important Book ever written by 40 authors in service to God.

Control of resources, of reproduction, land, history, geography, language, currency, politics, government, identity, sexuality, love, bodies, minds. At its most basic, religion is used to control. Whether you agree with the use of that control or not. I think he meant his own lane as a human, not just himself.

This is one of my favorite songs of Hopsin. Good Job! Also with the ending. Living for fun isn't a bad thing as you put it. Having fun is what life is all about. Regardless of what you are doing, is to be present and have fun with it. Being selfish has a part, but with everything if it's not balance then it becomes a problem. The same thing with 'giveness' and helping others. Too much of that and your cup is empty. You gottta give with a overflowing cup. Otherwise you just dry up and burn out.

Long Rant: I grew up in a Christian church and simply followed what I was taught like a good child. Though the church it’s self lacked warmth as I watched my grandmother be taken for granted there and my parents leave, and just like that the walls quickly crumbled. I mean my father was possessed in that church ; even though it was suppose to be such a holy place. Gradually my beliefs broke along those church walls. When I first heard this song 2 years ago I became depressed of how much of Hopsin’s pov I agreed with. There was so many things I wished to understand and yet I didn’t have that special bond with God as others had. I strived to change myself but it grew difficult to tell who I was anymore, after all I was bullied through most of my childhood because of being a simple rule follower. I grew up with no true friends and my mom who had been abused by her parents wasn’t someone I confide in because it made me feel guilty knowing my problems were less than hers. My siblings saw me as weak because I had a hard time talking to strangers, I struggled understanding what motivation was and would hide in my room. I couldn’t go anywhere alone. My skin would start to burn anytime I thought of having to interact with others. To outsiders even those that cared for me, I was a childish person who always seemed as if she didn’t take things seriously at a mature sense. It didn’t help that I’d often forget things; no it only made it worse. I looked at myself in the mirror everyday and could tell I was ugly despite those that would tell me I was wrong. “You have A beautiful heart”, they’d say yet it never cured my loneliness. I wanted to change myself or be someone different entirely so that I couldn’t have the mind to sin. It seemed the joy I got from giving to others would only harm me. To this day I stand alone with no one to understand me. I cry every time I think about the pain I feel while also crying thinking about how others grew up far worse. Why couldn’t I be given a chance to not eat the forbidden fruit? I know faith should be given but my heart only bears pain. I don’t understand why so many innocent truly kind people have to die. Why are people born only to be killed by illnesses and by other humans. Why must some open their eyes in rags and suffer from abuse? I naively wish the suffering of all would stop. For some sign of peace to be shown. Because of that I already accepted my ticket in hell, for I could never again blindly have faith on a love I can’t see. Even it means I risk living a painful life forever, it already feels so now. I will not kill myself; there’s still so much to see so much to do. I’m not suicidal nor wish to die. I just will live and cry for all those that are in pain. I decided that will be my purpose until I burn some day. I’m young so things could possibly turn around. I’ll work hard to change them but I still won’t ever be able to forget how the world is now. And that even if my situation were to be fixed; there’s still be pain in this world. I know normal people wouldn’t care about those they don’t even know, but who is always alone can’t help but worry for those I feel don’t deserve it. I may be getting better about myself but I’d still never be able to forget. it’s okay though cuz what’s a eternity burning to me? Maybe I could be a symphony of hell and actually have beautiful screams 😂

He and DMX. The most underrated lyricists of our time. Don't get me wrong, there are better artists and better musicians, but NOBODY hits deep like Hop and DMX.

Hopsin had to do this and has said that there are a few of his songs he noticed that he has done years ago that are being reacted to because Dax has made recently similar songs and has confronted Dax about this and Dax admitted to how he got the concept and ran with it.
