"Hopsin doesn't make music where you sit around and sing Kumbaya". He actually makes his own song called "Kumbaya". 😏
@Chris_Bro_aka_MR_PLAT1NEM3 жыл бұрын
The production on this song brings tears. The pan on the tribal drums and the bending bass notes then the hi hat 16 notes. It's so so creative. Then the claping holding the metronome and the contrast of the 808 and bass guitar. This must have took him a lot to bring it from his mind to a track. There's very few songs that really peek my interests as a musician and this one on the first listen I was blown away. That is just the beat. Hopsin cadences and multi syllable rhymes just add the perfect touch. This is one of my favorite ones by him. A lot of people don't really like this song and I think it kinda goes with the MAYA thing. It's very advanced type production and a lot of people just don't hear it like someone who has experience in making music will. It's like stepping into a whole virtual reality for me. I can see the music in the separate tracks in 3d.

Incredible perspective and genuinely thank you for sharing. This is one of my favorite songs by Hopsin because the instrumental juggles being complex, easy to process and visualize the setting, intense, and still sonically be easy on the ears. Hopsin had always been imo weakest at producing really great beats but this album flipped that and this song specifically really showed his potential as an artist
@BradyBonesPS33 жыл бұрын

The language used here is Afrikaans. Sangoma means Witch Doctor. He is saying: "Soek jy ‘n sangoma?" which means: “Are you looking for a witch doctor?” The use of the word Sangoma here is slightly confusing. If I'm not mistaken Sangoma is a Zulu (another African language) word. The Afrikaans word for Witch Doctor is Toordokter. Maybe Sangoma flows better. *Don't @ me. I do not actually speak any African languages. I simply studied them a bit in a attempt to connect to my roots.
