I love Nate and am SO happy that 1 person has stepped up and proved to all these Christians that rappers are not headed to hell. I hope they recognize rap isn't a sin, these people are telling their stories and no one should judge because their way of story telling isn't what you think it should be ❤❤❤. This song is straight 🔥🔥🔥.

@@RJNewbz I'm assuming it's because when he's dragging it he's just pulling his burdens with him, but when he's pushing it he's in more control of where it's heading. You can either drag on pulling your burdens behind you, letting them weigh you down, or you can push them to where you want them to go until they disappear entirely.

Nf is his life story teller. When I watched the video, I took it as he was in his mind. He was talking to himself. "Hey Nate hows life". Then in the back you have a cage in outcast, or the lady on the swing. Thinking that's his mom, from how could you leave us. Then the Balloons he pointed those are his burdens. "leaving my burdens", with the people in white I don't know what to think they are. What they stand for. But I like how you said things.

I have listened to the search so many times, and have watched Knox’s reaction video a few. But it was finally today I had a realisation of his shopping cart. Now this is my interpretation of it, not sure if anyone else has thought about it this way or not. When you go shopping it’s usually to buy some needs, and I’m pretty sure that there’s been a song by NF where he talks about not having needs. Well when you go shopping you usually have a shopping cart in the store. Nates cart is empty therefore he doesn’t have needs that he needs.

Ok so people have probably came up with what I’m thinking... but I’m going to say it anyway. In The Search he is pushing the cart, while in the background we can see his cage from Outcast. ..I see the cart as his portable cage, at the end of The Search he gets in it, also in Leave me Alone and Why. His burdens also cause a drag, while he pushes it through an already tough landscape. He has freed himself from the cage ,but still needs the comfort this “portable” cage may offer. Everybody seems so concerned with the White clothing... (that I view as the perception of lightness(?) that shows freedom depression i.e. the dark clothes also his burdens.. just a thought.

as a fan of nate for quite some time i can easily recall before a large number of people knew him, before he blew up into fame for his stunning lyrics and music, i have to say that the search has been by far my favourite album he’s made. his music shows so much into his mind (what he chooses to show) with simple symbolism much like a movie. his music is easy for people to relate to and nate’s music is by far one of the deepest (not saying it’s THE deepest since there’s many other rappers who have a similar style when it comes to rapping, take logic as a huge example of that). not only that, but his lyrics have hidden meanings that he allows people to perceive as whatever they hear from it. he deserves such a huge props for his music.
