My absolute favourite part about this performance is Avi singing in duet with Kevin’s cello. I am always so struck by how perfectly in sync those two are, even when Kevin is using one of his “other” voices. I have never heard anyone wield an instrument like vocal chords the way Kevin does, and it is perfectly illuminated here in that duet. Kirsty is, obviously, a revelation here.

And... i think you should check out Superfruit which is side project by Mitch and Scott. There are so many good covers, evolutions, non-musical funny videos. They have also amazing original music

I echo the suggestion that you check out Avi's solo work, of which there's quite a bit. You could start out slowly, maybe with his cover of OutKast's "Hey Ya!", which he recorded before leaving PTX in September 2017. He had a full EP during that period, and all the songs are great. In 2019, he put out "Change on the Rise", which was written during a 1+ year of hunkering down in his forest cabin near Nashville. He signed to Fantasy Records after that, and put out a 7-song EP whereon every song is a jewel. I recommend reacting to any of Avi's solo work. It's all amazing, and very different from what he did with PTX. Almost all the tracks are originals, and he typically does all the vocals.

Kevin refers to his cello as "Beyoncé". ;1 PTX incorporates Kevin's cello in a small number of their covers. Whenever they do, the cello acts like another featured voice, not just as background music.

Avi = "AhhhVee". Also, he left them in 2017. He does his own music now, more of a folk/Americana. Check out Change on the Rise, and all of his new EP songs. His KZbin is Avi Kaplan. This song is one of my favorites of PTX's covers. Also, "she" is Kirstie.

I recently saw in a reaction when the phone rang. The mother answered the phone and the son didn't know if he should pause or continue. The mom waved at him to continue. He tried but it was distracting to hear her talking on the phone in the background. So he stopped and waited for her to finish. I think it was a phone call for their food delivery.

A really great Kirstie lead song is a Clean Bandit cover RATHER BE.. filmed in Japan. Avi (AH' vee) has gone on to put out his own music. Avi has his own solo music, so does Kirstin, and Kevin does as well. Mitch and Scott have released an album of their own as a duet group called Superfruit. There are also independent projects that they have each done individually from each other, especially Scott. Just keep exploring this vast rabbit hole!

Avi can sing like a fish can swim. Technically, Avi is a basso profundo, the lowest of low and he has a pretty sick range. He is classically trained in opera, on one of their PTX Experience tour videos he breaks out singing in operatic German. He is amazing. These guys don't just sing, but you can tell they have studied, be it high school or college. They use proper diction, and then they sing in another language, it is very correct as well. Kirsten signs lead in Despacito, Japanese for the Perfume melody, and their French was quite good for Papatoui. They pronounce letters and just sing clean. Even when Mitch and Kevin rap it sounds clean,tight.kevin raps in Sing and another one I forget,it one of the on the couch older ones. Mitch raps in Starships, No,Problem, Can't hold us and Felling Myself (Superfruit) Oh sweet heaven-Thriftshop. They clean it up a little and its good. And there is a video, Pentatonix in an Airport where they are singing into the mic for the overhead system and slay Thriftshop. Oh- more Avi singing Light in the Hallway and Standing By.

You NEED to hear AVI do his solo music after leaving the group. you can definitely tell how much he's done with soul searching and growing as a persin too. Avi is amazing. I don't have a favourite because they are al amazing though. I do love to Gush over Kevin's Talent though. He beatboxes, plays the cello, and a few other instruments, sings, speaks Mandarin and I think I heard he was in Yale before joining the group for the Sing Off and launching their musical careers.
