When they are in tour he always a moment on his own playing different arraignments before the rest of the group joins him again

It's amazing that Avi's voice sounds like cello especially when he's humming! And it harmonizes with Kevin's cello so well. When I first heard this one, what I thought was cello was actually Avi and Kevin was doing pizzicato!

It's a cello. Kevin was already a world-class cellist before he joined PTX, and he brings out the cello on a few of their songs. And it's still Kevin beatboxing. He invented what he calls "cello-boxing", beatboxing and playing cello at the same time (that's actually what drew the group's attention to him when they were searching for a beatboxer). Kirstie absolutely slays the lead on this song...that angelic voice singing these solemn lyrics is a perfect combination. Avi has actually released three solo albums now (two since he left the group) and they're all fantastic. Very deep and personal songs. Kirstie has also released an enjoyable pop solo album, and Mitch & Scott released an album under their alter-egos Superfruit.

Great reaction, except that you cut it right in the middle of a few really epic parts, like Avi's bass drop and Kirstie belting. Suggestion - if you cut it, it helps if you go back just a couple of seconds, so you keep the flow. Otherwise, I really like all your reactions. Looking forward to more!

This is one of my favorite Pentatonix renditions. It’s so clean, spare and indelibly sad and powerful. The cello adds so much and Kirstie’s beautiful and passionate vocals are heart-breaking. This presentation clearly shows their virtuosity in what they do. I love them SO MUCH!

We call it cello boxing. The cello is a great talent and then his beat boxing is insanely good. Both are impressive but joining the,m together is very difficult. I’m with you. They are amazing. Yes, it's a cello, the best stringed instrument. I have a son and 2 grandkids play the cello and one granddaughter who plays the double bass. She can handle it - she's 5'10" and still growing.

Kevin beatboxes while he plays his cello. That is how they found him originally. Kevin was doing a KZbin video beatboxing and playing his cello at the same time, and they knew he would be a wonderful and talented addition to their group.

It is definitely music you can "feel". That is what I love. I walk around singing (badly) this song all day. I also love music that just makes you move/dance. That is why music is so universal because it just can affect you in so many different ways, no matter the genre, language, etc. Great reaction. Great reaction! I knew you'd love this one. Someone probably already posted this, but Kevin had put up videos of him "celloboxing", and that's how Mitch, Kirstin & Scott found him before they went on The Sing Off. Also, just a technical note: when you're pausing in the middle of a note or musical phrase it would be helpful to rewind back five or ten seconds when you're ready to listen again, otherwise you lose the impact of some of the more powerful moments (the end of this piece where Kirstin's in the middle of a note during the crescendo/build to the end of the song). :) Keep posting & we'll keep watching (happily!). Glad you seem to be feeling a bit better.

Kevin is amazing with the celloboxing, that’s what Kevin has called it, he is the first person to combine cello playing and beatboxing at the same time, it’s how Scott and Ben Bram the arranger that helps them behind the scenes found Kevin, they found him here on KZbin and asked him if he would be the beatboxer in the group Pentatonix, and they sometimes let him do the celloboxin, Scott has now adding the piano in the song Thank You. That was the first time they has a piano in a song. Kevin has played the cello a few times on a few songs

They all have solo projects. You already know about Superfruit which is Scott's and Mitch's project. Please check out Kevin Olusola's awesome KO KZbin channel. Start with "Down". Scott Hoying's channel is pretty awesome too. He started it before Pentatonix and continued to post on it until two years ago. Heck, check all of their KZbin channels even if you don't react.
