Wimbledon is the Tennis, this gig was at Wembley which is a football (soccer) stadium (90,000 + capacity). There is also Wembley arena where many many more rock concerts are played which is 12,500 capacity.

Wembley Stadium, where they were playing, is where they usually player soccer not tennis. The tennis championships you were talking about is played at Wimbledon which is still in London and not too far from Wembley.

I've seen Muse twice at the O2, during the 2nd Law and then the Drones tours and they truly deserve all the awards they received for Best live Act over the years. "This guy's showing off now!" Well yes and no. Yes the piano bit is in the song but he's actually playing it faster than the studio version. Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria, Knights of Cydonia, New Born, Liquid State (where Chris the bassist gets to flex his vocals), Survival, The 2nd Law (Unsustainable), there's just so many great songs to pick.

Me again, suggesting y'all to react to Slowdive, Ride and My Bloody Valentine as a starting point to get to explore shoegazing and the magical world of beautiful noise, I'm quite sure y'all will appreciate it! ________ One of the best things about Muse (I have to admit I stopped listening to them since The Resistance) is that their live versions give all of the power of studio versions with a bit more passion, more OOOMPH if that's possible. Regarding Matt Bellamy's piano playing, he might be the best in rock and rock-adjacent genres by far. His playing (and the parts he plays) are more suited to let's say a piano sonata/concerto from the Romantic period, pretty much like putting Rachmaninov with drums, bass and vocals instead of an orchestra. But it doesn't feel pompous or ridiculous as many progressive metal/symphonic metal bands. That's quite something.

Live at Wembley was peak Muse -- before every album was Uprising again. Every song from that concert was a trip. The final 4 songs from that concert will destroy you in bliss. If you can find the playlist for 2007 Live at Wembley go to Blackout, Plugin Baby, Stockholm Syndrome then Take a Bow. It will leave you a changed person.

I learned the piano solo when i was 17. Its incredibly flashy, but its literally just arpeggio triads up and down the keys. Once you grt the technique down its not so difficult in comparison to learning and playing a chopin poece. Which matt can and has done on albums.

If you count keyboardists as pianists, you definately have to check out a power metal band called Stratovarius. They're from Finland and are one of the pioneers of the genre. They are legendary for having guitar and keyboard duels in their songs with tasteful fast shredding. A good song to start with from them would be the video for 'My Eternal Dream' 😊👍
