Hahaha this is such a blast from the past. My boy and I were listening to this my freshman year of highschool. Didn’t know I’d ever see a reaction to it.

This band is still pushing out bangers to this day! Highly underrated band! I hope they blow up and get the recognition they deserve.

The album this song is from is a concept album! It's pretty dope. So many bangers off that one album. Give it a listen! They're my homies from Canada!

Bloodmeat, bone marrow, blindfolds aside, turn soonest to the sea (got that one tattooed on me 😁) wretch, the divine suicide of k, divinity within. They're so amazing. ❤️ thanks so much for reacting to them and I really hope you do more.

Protest The Hero are one of the best metal bands of the 00s. They do come from a hardcore background (which you picked up on), but took that into a whole new direction and helped create the progressive metalcore genre. Their album Kezia (from 2005) helped change the landscape of metal/metalcore. Protest The Hero are possibly people's favourite metal bands' favourite band. Some modern bands that display their influence more openly include Red Handed Denial (whose singer is a popular KZbinr named Lauren Babic), With Sails Ahead, Press To MECO, early Don Broco (Big Fat Smile era), and many others. While it isn't as popular as Kezia, Fortress (which Sequoia Throne is From), or Scurrilous, I think Volition is their most cohesive/best output. Plato's Tripartite, Mist, and Skies are 3 of the best songs I have ever heard.

Heck to the yes for Protest the Hero. I'd definitely love to see more of them on the channel. My all time favorite band right there. And as someone who owns a headless guitar, it is the best damn thing I've ever owned. Small, lightweight, and an absolute shred machine.

Hope you guys do more Protest the Hero in the future. Going to see them live in a couple of weeks! Gonna be a great show.

My all time favourite band right here, been into them since 2005. I genuinely think these guys are so under-rated it's almost criminal, they're so fucking talented and their music carries a complicated euphoric feeling to me. I really, REALLY wish more people would react to them.

This individual songs of this album don’t do this album justice. “Fortress” is an entire listen. There is no discernible transition between tracks. It’s a long story...melody...harmony...something. I’m not smart enough to explain it, but this album, in its entirety, is my top 3 albums, ever....as a legit aged metal veteran.

Morning fellas! At first i couldnt get into it but then i liked this song! Different sound than what im used to tho...(there were parts where he sounded a little like Mike Patton,i thought...) The guitar work was crazy good!!! Thanks for sharing Darrel!🙂👍

I just have to subscribe to these guys because they react to every song...this one was surprisingly agressive, not sure why Canadians support it so much...they must not have metal bands up there? Great song...
