I heard this song the day this album came out and it was a life changer for me. It has something so special in it. So yes, for me this is the best ever Tool song. But about seeing them live... I've seen hundreds of live concerts in my life and I've seen Tool 4 times between 2002 and 2019 and I can tell you something: there is no video or audio in the internet that makes any justice to what it actually is. I can say 100% that they are the best live sounding band on Earth. They sound live five times more powerful than on records but at the same time the sound is so clean, so extremely clean that you can perfectly hear every little nuance... Danny's kick drum hits your chest like bullets and you can hear every little inflection in Maynard's voice. Plus the visuals are amazing... my only complaint is that the four times the shows seemed very short. Their tunes are long and they play more or less 10 songs in each gigs which makes for a standard gig length but in terms of the variety of songs you hear, it definetely falls short. Cheers!

Everytime I see anyting from the Lateralus tour it breaks my heart a little bit. As I have stated in many comments, throughout my life something always stood in the way of me going to see Tool live. I had tickets to see them in Chicago on this tour. Two days before the show I was hospitalized. I was literally dying, breathing on a chest tube in a controlled coma the night they played. My dear friend came to the hospital and played the CD for me while I was under so I could at least hear it. It gives me a very spiritual connection to that album. Shout out to Charles Insley(RIP) for being such a good and thoughtful friend. Chuck, this year I finally get to go see them live! And I know you'll be there with me in spirit ❤

Every Tool show I’ve been to has been amazing to say the least, and their overall performance is unforgettable on top of their sound and visuals. It’s hard finding words to justify just how amazing they are live. One of the craziest things I saw was during their Lateralus tour where they had 2 contortionist looking like aliens come out on stage, walking on all fours, swinging their heads back and forth in a tribal like mode. They were also swinging on ropes and contorting their bodies. They came out on stage during Schism. That show was crazy good. Edit-I believe they were the same contortionists from the official music video.

They havent played this live in years and it's a shame because it was my favorite to see. Got to see it 7 maybe 8 or 9 times but it was always my favorite. One tour during the quiet breakdown in the middle where danny did a solo, they brought out the opening drummers drum kit and they had a drum off before finishing the song. Absolutely incredible. If you havent seen Schism live it has a cool breakdown you can only hear from a live show.

Tool is not 1 member. Tool is the collection of collaborated musical expertise. Danny is equally good at drumming as Maynard's good at singing and Justin is good on the bass.
