Lisa, Dahyun,etc) its prob coz they belong to the big 3 and the big 3 are known to give artists success their own way (btw Lisa is claimed to be "one of the greatest rapper in kpop" by blinks so thts how low their standards really are,she does not write her own raps and the lyrics are fucking cringe,don't blame her tho) so imagine if fatou came in the game she would LITERALLY be one of THE greatest rappers

As much as I really really respect Soyeon and her production skills - I mean the song itself was like ok cool - pop punk vibe nice, sick mv, members look cool! - but the lyrics didnt make sense to me as an English speaker - also Soyeon has a thick accent when she raps in english which makes it near impossible for me to understand so this is why i think its one of her worst rap flows - she also just sounds so much more rhythmic, comfy and cool when she raps in Korean too (her delivery is a lot better i think - i cant speak korean tho) - i wish she would mostly stick to it cuz its how she can express herself better. Apart from the English lines not making much sense - the main qualm i have with the song is the fact that they didnt really portray what a Tomboy was. Like their whole MV screamed girlcrush - the lyrics that did make sense screamed cool girl/girl crush - it didnt feel anythin remotely Tomboy - and thats why i cant bring myself to like the song - it doesnt make sense overall. Esp. the part where they sing something like - neither man nor a girl, its just me Idle - like from interviews i think theyre trying to get at being their own kind of genre/sound/artists - but pulling gender into it doesnt feel right - unless they themselves feel that way - but like idk it doesnt sit right with me because i think they superficially talked about gender that way which i feel is wrong. not to mention it doesnt make sense in the context of the song - if we're talking tomboys hm. But this is just my personal opinion - I do respect Soyeon and (G)I-DLE and im loving how they keep on trying new genres of music/sound and diversifying (esp as someone who listens to a lot of bands/pop punk music). I just wish they put a little more research and thought into it this time round. Like what they have done with OMG, Lion wow - those were cool and when u have something superficial like Tomboy - it really cant compare.

1.) To this day "Miroh" still slaps and in my opinion is their best song in their entire discography. Changbin is my bias so his part always gets me hyped. 2.) Never heard of Bae173 but "Jaws" is a hit. I like it :) 3.) Love Karina's tone when she first comes in on the bridge in "Next Level." The entire bridge is arguably the best part. It could be a separate song. 4.) "Ring x Ring" is a great song. To me "Ring x Ring" and even "Flipping Coin" is better than "GingaMingaYo." 5.) Yuki from Purple Kiss is THAT girl. I love her raps. Her flow is so good it's so satisfying to hear.
