just had my 40th B day and contemplating my mid life crisis purchase, I already own a new 700 grizzly but I was thinking about adding a raptor as well, I haven't ridden anything with a clutch would I be getting in over my head with a raptor 700? I mostly run logging roads with all kinds of little mini sand pits along the sides of the roads. I figure a raptor would be great in that type of environment.

I think you’ll pick up the clutch pretty quickly. It doesn’t take long for it to become muscle memory! The Raptor is powerful but also has very predictable power and is very luggable at lower speeds. I personally think it’s the best all around big bore sport ATV. If your trail riding it’s hard to beat! 🤘

I was going back and fourth between a sport quad and a affordable sports car like a camaro or a mustang, but i enjoy the woods more than driving on the roads.

Hey Pete, don’t know if your reading this but I have a question. I’ve been with your channel for a while now and I loved the way the Rossier R4 sounded. And I wanted to get one for my LTZ400 because they had a good tone and we’re decently loud but not obnoxious on the 400’s. But there discontinued and the R5 are the only ones Rossier sell. And wow they look amazing but I’m scared to buy it, and be disappointed it the way it sounds and how quiet it is. Just wondering if you could give me a “review” of the exhaust and for the others who are in the same boat as me. And if you have any information about it on 400’s. If it’s not really that loud, I’ll be fine. I just want to know if it sounds good. Rossier never disappoints, so I’m sure it does. Thanks Pete!

Idk how far it would be from you or how far you would travel. There's a big park in Southern MO called Saint joe state park. Roughly 2500 acres of rideable ground, a lot of sand and trails. A lot of good hills and sand trails.

Hey Pete I just got my first sports quad it’s a old one but I’m excited to have it. It’s a 2003 predator 500 do you have any parts and things on your Wed site for those old quads or anything you recommend it has a aftermarket exhaust and bars but that’s about it at the moment

Congrats on getting your first sport quad! 😁🤘 Unfortunately I don’t think we offer anything aside from DRW protective parts potentially. They seem to make a case saver for everything! I would join some predator groups or forums to get advice on aftermarket suppliers. Michael Sabo’s predator build series would be a great place to start as well! 👍

I’ve been riding with Alpinestar Tech 3’s but will probably upgrade to the 5’s or 7’s soon. I really like their boots, they practically come broken in already, super comfortable. For riding gear I have a few random sets of Thor gear and this O’Neal set in this video is a lighter, breathable gear set. I also have a couple hundred dollar O’Neal helmet that fits super well, I really like it. I haven’t experimented with many gear brands or combinations. I know there’s lots of great products on the market so it really comes down to your price point. I will say I 100% recommend the Astar boots tho! 🤘

Has your raptor ever had the engine rebuilt? If not how many hours are you on?? 😂

Yes it was rebuilt a couple seasons ago. I would think the chassis has about 200 hours on it. Having the other machines has allowed me to split the seat time amongst them but I’ve been a bit glued to the Raptor lately 😅

@@jackmills1274 I have one on my YFZ but it’s under the front plastic and I haven’t seen it for awhile. I had one on the raptor but the screen melted and I can’t read the hours anymore.. I’m assuming the YFZ has upwards to 50 hours on it, I try to keep the seat time down on that machine
