Man this was heartbreaking to watch. So happy you're okay and it happened where it did rather than during a hill climb or something. An important note for other riders with upgraded throttles, they require cleaning/servicing. I have an Urmosi throttle and absolutely love it and all the Urmosi products. but like with any performance part they do require some extra love to ensure proper functionality. My throttle did the same thing, now I clean and lube it with every oil change. Probably overkill but just a habit now to ensure it doesn't happen again. Much love Save sports quads!
@PeteHager3 ай бұрын
Great advice on the throttle maintenance. I'll definitely be implementing some new habits going forward as preventative maintenance. Thanks man

Even dirty, there's nothing like the view of a lineup up quads! Especially from a drones eye view! And yesss! The thunderous sound of quads ripping thru the woods is music to the ears! Lol, before you started up the hill@12:53, that horn blowing gets me every time! Lol the Raptor sounded extra good climbing the hill! A sticky throttle is super sketchy business! 😬 and hey, did you rip one @19:22!? Lollollol I tell ya what, I've taken notice to the fact that Asthon stays ripping that Yellow and Black Raptor! Good rider! Aww man...hate Sam rolled the 400. Any kind of damage is bad damage to me. Glad he's OK tho! ................oh my gosh....the way my heart just started pounded...Jesus....I kid you not, I just almost shed a tear watching and looking at the aftermath of those flips. I'm so glad you're ok, But i mourn the damage done to your beautiful Raptor. Man...that was painful to watch. 😭 Like you said, it could have been worse like by a hill or trees, so this was a better spot for it to happen. But again I'm so glad you're Ok Pete. I feel a little better that the plan for for restoration is in motion and things are looking up. Love ya bro and look forward to the rebuild! Keep it Red! That's my favorite color! Lol
@PeteHager3 ай бұрын
Thanks for all your positive words Terrell! I didn't participate in that final climb because of my throttle. It was fun to watch though! Don't worry, the Raptor will definitely stay red. My hope is to make it just a little more "special" than it was before 😊
@TerrellSpivey3 ай бұрын
@PeteHager oh you're most definitely more than welcome my bro! And it's gone take alot to make it even more special cuz it was the iconic Raptor for alot of us, but from the sounds of your plans plus whatever else you got in mind, I'm sure you're gonna come back even better! Again I'm so glad you didn't get seriously hurt! That would have been super devastating for the atv community! Love ya man! 💪💯

@PeteHager3 ай бұрын
Generally machine's in the 300-400 class are great starting points as a beginner. They're not as powerful so you can focus on the fundamentals like shifting and body language. They have plenty of power to handle the majority of terrain you'll encounter. Once you develop more muscle memory, then moving up to a larger machine with more power, will be much safer. The Honda 400ex is an amazing starter quad. They're affordable and there's still tons of aftermarket support for them.
