Raptor vs TRX Faceoff at the Track! Results!

We take a 2021 Ram Trx and a 2021 Ford Raptor to Bandimere Speedway in Colorado to face-off on the track.
The Trx obviously has the leading edge with the 702hp hellcat engine, but how does that translate into number on the street? Well, we wanted to find out and the results are in.

I'm a Ford guy as well, but will be picking the TRX when I win. The driver of the Raptor was taking a nap at every start. It wasn't even a race. My XLT 3.5 ecoboost would beat the Raptor everytime with that guy driving. Lol.

Agreed. I was incredibly suprised it wasn’t worse especially with the raptor driver leaving a full second late. Either that or the Ram driver was leaving a second early… Regardless if both trucks left simultaneously it wouldn’t be more than a truck length based off what was shown in the video. I ran a TRX on the highway from about 60mph and left him pretty decently far behind. However my Raptor is tuned. I have been looking for a TRX to run from a dig I imagine it would be close. Raptors win on the top end for sure due to the weight advantage.

I appreciate that and all but let’s ask the bigger question. Will the TRX hold up like the Raptor has in the Baja 1000? The Raptor’s already proven itself. It even drove itself home after finishing. I’ll never own either truck but it’s a question I’m dying to know and food for thought.

It took 6 years of tries before a raptor finished Baja in stock division, if that’s what you gauge success on you probably think tundra and colorados are the best trucks since they actually give wins at baja, a stock ram with Cummins has finished baja and even put up a better time than the raptor😂 remember raptor finished with about 1 min left in the 36 hour cutoff, and finished in 3rd

@Mach 1 10 and 14 for the trx but plenty of people are averaging around 14-15 on forums. That's pretty good for 702hp supertruck just a few years ago all v8s averaged the same or worse with only 3-4 hundred horsepower. It's not just an offroad truck like the raptor it's an on and off road plus race truck. First mass produced super truck, it's in an league of it's own. That's why the raptor is playing catchup.

Dude my gen one raptor ran a 14.8 when it was bone stock. That raptor should be able to run a 13.5 all day tune that raptor and put bigger injectors. Believe it or not that eco-boost could have 800 hp without much effort

We will see what happens when the Raptor R and TRX are lined up and also didn't Dodge's CEO say that the TRX won't be changed anymore in the engine compartment? The thing is already getting 10 miles to the gallon on a good day and with Ford's 5.2L Supercharged V8 being more fuel efficient with more power I think the tides will turn in the raptor's favor.

@@shadowwolf5699 I get 15.2 MPG and 11 MPG when towing my 6x12 Encosed Trailer at about 4000lbs but I drive normal and they say a lot of things that don't stick...Stlantis won't sit back and let Raptor win in a drag when the Stages pack would change that...Just my Opinion obviously anyone can be wrong...I have or had a 2021 37 Package Raptor that I traded for the TRX after owning all 3 Gens of the Raptor...Raptor is a great truck but I like the TRX better for me and I've had both in the Desert..Like Ben Hardy said the TRX has a learning curve when in the sand but once mastered it's as good if not better then Raptor..Have a great 4th!
