Happy Belated Birthday, Caroline !!! Back in 1980 I had my first '69 Charger RT that I didn't know anything about. It had a 440, but it was blue (not sure if it was just a Plymouth or a worked run-of-the-mill 440....that would lift the front wheels off the ground ! Anyway, I blew that engine in a race and replaced it with what I thought was a 440RB that turned out to be a 383RB (Magnum). No matter what I did to improve that engine, it had no where near the tire shredding torque of the 440. The 383 almost required line lock to break those tires loose (Pro Trac N50-15's). That car is long gone (sacrificed when my parents sold our house and I downgraded a LOT to a Fiat. But, in 2010 I bought my 2nd RT that was a twin of my first WITH a 440 and now I have trouble getting the rear to hook up !!! Keep up the great work !!!

You people brought that old car back from the grave. I do find it hard to believe that that cute 24 year old girl has never laid rubber and smoke in a parking lot, crossroads. Here is one for ya... Next winter when the conditions are right, you take a ice covered parking lot, drive a front wheel drive car in reverse and do donuts. It's simply great. Thanks again for sharing your adventure. Keep on wrench 'in

Back in 89 my roommate had a 68 Charger RT Same color and white stripe as this one! Factory 440 the entire car was like new back then, I had a 80s 3rd gen Camaro Z28! I didn’t like Chargers back then, if he still had that car today in the same new shape it was then it would be worth a fortune!

I just noticed that you all were there at the same time as another KZbinr, he is the one with the Red Gremlin that kinda looks like Grim from the Movie Cars. I actually watched him build that car, blow it and then get it back to work in time for this burnout. Your car is also in his video as well;. I hope that you folks talked with them while you were there. I am a huge Mopar fan I have always wanted a Charger but alas I was not ever able to get one and now I have finally given up on that dream.

You did great!!! Drum front breaks are not great for burnouts. And Frizz does not have 450 ft pounds of torque. He was pushing the front wheels and rears were spinning.

I just wanna say man, a 68/69 charger is my Hero car, and not even because of the dukes, This thing just represents everything that i love and care about in human engineering history wrapped up in a badass design language that says "im not just a point A to B tool", your daughter is living one of my dreams atm getting to not just drive but put love and time into working on one of these chargers, i've been obssessed with it since childhood, and im fighting to someday own one of these while im still young and take it with me to the grave, im not much older than her so this is healthy motivation to Stay on the grind, and im not even from the u.s. to finding one will be a trial in and of itself, they're disappearing bit by bit and its always moving to see there are still so many people still preserving and resurrecting them. I know alot of people associate these cars with like a lost loved-relative or the pain of working on them for years or some sort of wholesome backstory, i dont yet have any such story with one of these as i dont yet have one but, for me its just the sheer fact that This car represents something outside of car enthusiasm and its that in fiction its always "T H E B A D G U Y ' S C A R", my favorite characters in fiction are usually villains and thats what this car is like, an embodiment of raw, primal and unapologetic natural-born unstoppable fury. I say all of this because i really appreciate the bit where you guys stop for a minute to prepare it to do a tiny bit of offroading. Not enough people build these in the way i like best, a clean balance between offroad monster and street-car, The GO ANYWHERE vehicle; and thats my vision, to one day build one of these to be a sinister blacked out James-Bond-Supervillain signature vehicle with the huge Blowers and Fat wide tires and comically dark window tints that make the interior enigmatic. I just love seeing this stuff in the morning, I hope you guys continue to take care of that Charger, its the ultimate "Get TF out of my way" machine. good stuff.

I’m with you, I don’t understand it either. I’m guessing the engine was blown at some point early in its life and the 383 is what they had to put in it. The interior is original and is in way too good of condition to have 145k miles on it.

@HHWheels7 ай бұрын
We could not disagree more. If this car was restored and made nice, it would sit in some garage and only see the road every once in a while. We are driving it, repairing and replacing parts as needed. We may even upgrade the suspension tremendously with a QA1 kit and drive it even harder. Cars are made to be driven, not stored in some collection somewhere. Thx for watching!✊

@@HHWheels never said to fully restore it then park it. .. you know what happens to rare cars that get driven? They get crashed.
