OMG I love that intro. Cracks me up every-time so you will get a thumbs up from me for making me laugh and smile.. Love the Vitus so you'd get a thumbs up for that anyway. Gorgeous bikes when the carbon has a new clear and lugs are polished, really makes the frame pop.

Many thanks for the kind words Warren! I love that intro too haha I’m glad it brings you joy, that’s nice to hear! I’m with you on the Vitus too, I’ve done it to a Giant Cadex 3 and it looked GREAT! The vitus is such a better frame in every way and the polished lugs with freshly 3K Clear coated carbon tubes would be absolutely amazing! It went to a college kid from Australia who is commuting on it, maybe I’ll see for sale and buy it back next year haha. Would be cool to repaint it!

I've Just Got My Hands on a Vitus Dural 979 Carbone 9 🙌🙌. Have you still got this three years later?

Hi thanks for the comment and please take a moment to subscribe! Congrats on your new bike! I no longer have mine but it was a very cool bike! If memory serves me correctly, when I posted the video it sold.

Do you have a store where we can buy the projects your flip?
@D2WrenchWorksDIY4 жыл бұрын
If I did the past year it wouldn’t be worth the server cost. I’d also want to sell some shirts and stuff too so it’s not just projects. Once I reach a thousand subs and monetize the channel, I’ll build a site where you can buy projects I’m parting with and merchandise stuff.

I just get one, it has a failure in the bonding of the seat tube, over the pedalier. Has anybody an idea of how to bond it? It’s very rare bike . Lovely, Thanks.

Hi Juanjo, please take a moment to subscribe if you haven't already! If you have a frame with a failure in the bonding ANY of the tubes the ONLY honest opinion is that you should DEFINTELY NOT ride this bike without having it inspected for hidden damage by a bike shop and then repaired by a pro frame repair shop. Ultimately I would expect this to be a piece of wall art unfortunately. When you start messing with a glued up frame and you don't own the jig they used to manufacturer it you are looking for trouble IMO. Also I have had a TON of these glued carbon bikes and I have never seen this, which is why I would suspect a previous accident or something. I would find a new frame and transfer all the goodies over! Imagine trying a home repair and crashing full speed making you land on your face with a huge hospital bill!

@@D2WrenchWorksDIY Must of got rid 6/7 years ago .The tubes going into the bottom bracket come loose .Common fault probably due to 2k adhesives used at the time ,new technology

Yeah I’m keen, though I’ve heard about epoxy issues with all lugged carbon bikes. Luckily, no issues yet! Used to ride a similar Trek 2300 and it was a great ride! Plus they’d make great wall art if they did break haha

While the bike you're presenting is close to legendary, the "L'Eroica" in the title is misleading, for two reasons: One, the youngest allowed road bikes are from 1987, which includes all the components, and two, no carbon (or derivatives) frames are allowed. I'm not even sure they'd let you race on an aluminum frame, though. ;)

Hi Samuel! Alright alright take me to KZbin jail, I regret nothing! In all seriousness you are totally right, I just like to use that tag line on really nice vintage bikes so it is a bit of a youtube clickbait haha but my heart is in the right place and steel frame snobs suck anyway 😎
