It's a bit open to interpretation but I think Nicky made a deal with God/Devil to return to Earth as a spirit to haunt people and cause chaos, if he does so well then God/Devil will grant him access to Heaven to be reunited with his mom. But Nicky stole the keys to the cages in Hell from one of the Guards before he was sent back, so who knows what he's really gonna do?

I think he'll go back after success in his mission to get into heaven he might sneak into hell and release everyone

So I had to turn up the volume a bit to understand, but at 7:16 Nicky says "Let me go back, make people crack, do *you* right." I think that Nicky has become some sort of reaper in a sense, he "does God right" by only going after those who are wicked, then he "makes them crack" like punishes them or brings them to their breaking point mentally. Also, I think Nicky's mother *did* go too Hell, because when he saw her, she had a demon on her shoulder just like Nicky and his old friend did; so when he says "to see my mom, and have her back" I think he meant as a reward, he'll get to get his mom into Heaven, like "I got your back, homie." Those are just my interpretation of this masterpiece.

in my experience, and from a few notices from hauntings in real life from others, the "age" of a soul, is entirely dependent on two things: You haven't lost your humanity, and been contorted by your emotions, and that your emotional state is stable, and thus, the stability determines the maturity. So a soul that looks or feels old, is old and experienced. A soul that is contorted /warped, and unstable, is immature, and thus younger, even if they appear twisted bizzare. So numbers don't even apply. You can be a million or whatever years old, but you can still be a 5 year old with the power of a nuke, or the power of a hobo.

I know the lore so get ready When he was young his dad was abusive and his dad killed his mom because he got scammed so Nicky went into the foster care system and bounced a couple homes then he ended up at a place with this guy named Shifty. Shifty and his gang would bully Nicky so Nicky bought a pie and put in Shifty’s face at dinner then a couple years later he drops out of school starts his own gang, steals money, and does drugs one day while him and his girl are at his place doing drugs the cops come in she does a line off his down stairs area and then they get sent to jail. He meets a guy named Ben who teaches him the way of prison life but then one day he finds Ben getting shanked so he steps in to help and saves Ben but gets his sentence extended and eventually he leaves prison and dies. He goes to the afterlife gets sent to hell but before he gets sent to hell he tries to argue with God which doesn’t work and he goes to hell anyway he meets Ben again who tells him how to escape and he tries but fails but then he’s summoned by god who reveals he is also the devil so god and the devil are one but Nicky makes a deal that he can go back to the living world and make people crack so like fuck with bad people that are alive to then in turn get him and his mom into heaven by doing god right with this job and that deal works.

Im not certain but i wonder if the guy he possesses at the end is that older kid who bullied him in foster care, i mean it would make sense if family came to his funeral, even adoptive ya know? So idk probably not, right, but its a funny headcanon that hed fuck with him specifically first

Nicky's mom got killed by his dad in a fit of rage then died in a deal gone wrong. At the end i think he basically makes a deal with god/devil that if they let him go back to protect his mom and have a better start in life he and his mom will go to heaven. Thats just my guess

As I know and I've watched this video multiple times as I get from it he's come back to save the human race from sadness and holding on to the past and I'm pretty sure he's a skeleton soldier for the devil it seems like that was what happened
