Hi8 format, brilliant! I had a Canon Mark II. That could record in this format, pre or cheaper than digital etc. I remember the cassettes being quite expensive and you only got around 28mins or so.

They were being used as trailing aka B units not leading the train. Did not need an operating cab.

CSX ran on the CASO line thru Ontario till the very early 90's.Amtrak ran on the same tracks.C&O had shops in St Thomas till the 80s.
