The 97 350 vortec is a stout sbc. I have 1 in my 72 K20. I realize you want a more original engine. But the vortec was the best 350 gm ever made. You can make 400 hp with the vortec heads, good carburetor and headers. If you guys ever add 4XL tshirts to your merchandise, I will definitely buy 1

Well that wasn't a vortec it was a tbi. Which had a roller cam so it's still a good engine

@@jerredwayne8401 There was never a truck TBI 305 or 350 that came with anything but a hydraulic flat tappets from the factory. There were a few Canadian 9C1 Caprices with TBI 350’s that had a factory roller setup but they are really, really rare.

You should pay more attention to how your vehicles are sitting on the lift. Those lifting pads were half way off the frame .

The thing about 'all it's scars and stuff' is that those were mostly if not all from after it's service life as a CHP period which is why I'd rather restore it as it was in CHP service. But opinions are just that ;)

Those Vortec heads are worth something if they're not cracked. I shared your channel to an 80+ retired CHP officer from northern CA I know in case he as any input that would help you out. Absolutely awesome find! So cool. Be safe!

We towed in 3.......1972. C10oickups summer 72...1was sold to be fixed other 2had frames bent but by today's standards wood be saved
