RARE Bizzarrini 5300GT built by ex-Ferrari Chief Engineer! Italian SuperCar Detailing

Bizzarini was also responsible for the Lamborghini V12 . When Ferruccio Lamborghini set out to compete with Ferrari, he contracted Giotto Bizzarrini to design the engine for his car and, according to some accounts, paid him a bonus for every horsepower over what Ferrari's V12 could produce. The finished 3.5-litre (214 cu in) V12, with minor improvements, went on to become the 6.5 litre powering the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640, and completed its service for Lamborghini with the final version of the Murciélago, the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce.[4]

Bizzarrini I did the mechanics . This is based on the ISO Grifo . Which had a 5.4 Litre Corvette small block engine then the huge 7 litre Corvette big block which could do 186 mph. The 5300gt could do 174mph. With a Corvette 327 small block 5.4 V8 engine. What Bizzarrini said was after leaving Ferrari he didn’t want a troublesome Ferrari V12. What he wanted was an amazing sounding V8 that had a bulletproof reliable engine that was easy to work on.. thus that’s why he went for the Corvette V8. He made the right choice a better engine and history has proved that. The styling by Bertone but designed by Bizzarrini himself. This gorgeous car along with his other examples of the ISO Grifo were a mix of Italian styling with some Corvette curves , sumptuous detailed interiors that were as good as anything on the market for luxury exotic sports cars and the bulletproof handling and performance of the Corvette engine.. now that’s a winning combination, one of the Bizzarrini Grifo’s he took to Le Mans won its class win in 1965.
