Those days of the 60s, and early 70s were kind of an interesting , crazy time ; for I was born 3/30/1957, and witnessed "The Cuban Missile ," the John F. Kennedy , and Martin Luther King , and on the news( local , and national) the Gulf of Tonkin incident ; where NVA , and Vietcong guerillas attacked a US of A naval ship around mid- 8 1964.)! By the latter part of 9/1965 , president Johnson had sent nearly 200,000 into Southeast Asia (SouthVietnam, and there were USofA military contingents in other parts of Southeast Asia, such as Thailand, Malaysia, Burma ( Myanmar is Burma's new name , South-Korea, though that country not in Southeast Asia.). The war in SouthVietnam was on TV most on local, and national news stations from about 1964- 1975!There was a cease fire by early 1/1973, so technically the US washed its' hands w/ that useless debacle in SouthVietnam. Then by early summer 1975, the all out NVA , and VietCong offensive started; it caused anxiety for those who were anti - communist who fled w / barely w the shirts on their backs. Anyway, yeah, I saw the sixties , and early 70s. There were up's And downs. There was nothing cheery about the War in SouthVietnam from 1964- 1973! Nothing cheery about the Manson Murders of Sharon Tate, and her friends, and of Ted Kennedy's bungling attempt to save his mistress from drowning as his automobile was accidently submerged in water, due to his driving while intoxicated; result:mistress drowns! This really hit the news --locally , and nationally big time mid 7/ 1969. And, also, the USof A

I saw them live in 1974 at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. There wasn't an opening act, just them. About 2 hours of non stop hits ! John Persh, the original bassist had already left. I'm a bass player also, I was bummed out, but they put on a great concert. My buddy with me smoked to much weed and passed out half way through. He missed a great concert. Great memories!!!

This is real music 🎵 of the 1960 and then I was part of that kind of music and then I wish the musical soundtrack from the American freedom past but I still hear the best music ever the best part about this United States Music of the 1960s is better than the music of today, woke people who don't know what is real music 🎵 and then maybe the message from this man's telling all of the Young people who have lived in the community of the Hippie movement in the world 🌎🌍 of American freedom. So far I have tryed to listen to the music of today and I don't like it at all.

Check out Progressive Psytrance you might enjoy it. Other than established rock/metal/punk/ska/reggae/jazz artists that are still producing new material I don't care much for modern so called music. But for some reason the good energy and grooves of progressive Psytrance just pull me in

Great bad ass psych/ soul spring 1970. Was 13 wen this song made it to be a big hit middle of5/1970! 1rst heard this Phila., WFIL , Famous 56. Recorded some period of Summer of Love 1969 , but became a great soul/psych tune by May of 1970.. Rember some of my friends bros. Either coming home , or still in SouthVietnam.

@@michaeliavecchia9555 I was 13 when the Roosevelt Mall had those marathons( I think that's what they were called 4 whatever reason). I turned 13 3/30/1970. WIBG , and WFIL were the pop top 40 stations, and you had 93.3 WMMR , and I listened 2 all of them! Remember seeing some of my friends/ neighbors sons, and bros. coming home from that SouthEast Asian inferno---SouthVietnam. Rember the Kent State Massacre in late 4/1970 , when 3, or 4, students were shot dead by Ohio National Guardsmen in protest of Pres.Nixons order to have US. Army to go into Cambodia and seek, and destroy VietCong, and NVA sanctuaries. The 60's , and very early 70s, were the most interesting of crazy times!
