My motto!! I would rather manufacture one good part, than two rejected parts.

You looking at something like the Blend toolpath or Morph locked to 3D?
@md87444 жыл бұрын
@@CamInstructor yeah kind of blend some complex Radius, I heard people said morph 3d toolpath more powerful and easy for cutters dancing around those. Please advise some videos we can buy it....thks

I bought the 4th and 5 axis course I have a question I'm hoping you can answer . I have a 2001 Haas vf2 with an hrt210 the center height is 6" at rotation . I'm going to build a Trunnion for this with a 2" negative offset from center line of rotation on the z axis . I'm curious if I put a vice in center of table and its say 4.75" from table to bottom of part where I clamp in vise could be a simple square block and lets say top of block is 2" above this . How do I set my tool heights and what do I put in for my g54 do I start with a zero and increments of 1 Like I do with a round part I'm confused thanks for any help you may offer . Ps My Haas doesn't have the next gen control It's simple parts for the most part but not sure how to go about doing this as I want to avoid crashing my machine I got the 4th axis with round stock down pretty good .

Tool lengths will not be done any different than normal, whatever method you may be using. Not sure I'm following what you're doing re 'increments of 1'. Easiest setup for this is just multiple work offsets, one for each rotation. Otherwise you will need to replicate the parts position in CAM that is done on the machine, relative to the center of rotation.

Ok if I use a tool to machine a slot with A axis at 0 then use that same tool at A 90 and do same. Op do I just create a new work offset and put in a positive z difference from first op ?

Yeah I agree anyone can do this and almost 40 years of doing this doesn't mean much of anything good call.
