I got all the way to Nightmare Act 4 with Holy Fire absolutely no problem. But the fire resists in Act 4 meant I finally had to switch to hammerdin. Honestly Normal and Nightmare with Holy Fire was so satisfying, feeling like a powerful holy god that all demons die at the sight of me haha Nice vid man!

Fire merc in act three will give you enchant and solve a bunch of your immunity problems. With other mercs, smite them into a wall and then let them hit. You dont get the melee added damage on smite, but the 2 second procs and proximity boosts will help quite a bit for resolving that while keeping them stunned.

Here's a fun one from 1.13d (should also work for D2:Resurrected) - Tesla-Froster: Holy Freeze / Holy Shock with crafted Blood Gloves (small bit of crushing blow). Cheap weapon: 6 OS Phase Blade with 2x Shael, 4x Eth.

@@thenuclearrabbit yeah man, melee or ias based builds are always infinitely harder with these sort of challenges. No CBF is tough. You could get around that with missile but AR becomes a nightmare.

You might have guessed I'm catching up on your vids in a somewhat random order. A few thoughts ... You could put a rare maul or polearm on switch for those bosses for better damage output Upgrading rare weapons seems to be affordable - Ort+Amn+PSapphire. Next upgrade would have to be considered carefully: Fal+Um+Perfect Sapphire Instead of zeal go vengeance and boost for fire or cold to at least have something for light immunes? Some rares come with life tap or lower resist charges so watch out for that too.

You can watch in any order you want, that's what they are made for. I'm just glad people are watching them. A big weapon on switch would probably be good. I should have looked more into upgrading as well for sure. Going vengeance would probably work but I wanted to play a holy shock zealot. I should also pay attention to charges like that, they could definitely help

Hi, discovered your channel recently because I want to know if Holy Shock paladin (no dream) is possible to complete the game and farm it all the way to classic Tesladin. Did not really find an answer so I did it on my own and damn it was a breeze and very satisfying gameplay I have to say. Depends on the character, but usually between 12 and 18 hours and then about 10-12 hours for editing. Glad you like the music!

Solo self found is playing through the game without help from other characters using only items found with your character. So no muling, trading, boosts etc

You get no control over it at all. Just autoaims you in a general direction until it locks on an enemy. I'm mostly enjoying console play, but this was rough.

Idea for a run: bow paladin with fana and fire/light/ or cold aura. Also conversion, works with bow and could make for decent meat shield. :)

That's why I respect more HC players ,cuz they value everything they find in game and they live the game! Softcore all are running top gear from the start and get bored easily.. Hardcore mode forever, cuz a humble stamina potion might save your HC life.... In HC mode the game tries to k... You ... The door trick in the end of the video was done to me many times... This game is alive I'm telling you...

It's not so much that rares are bad it's that they rely on the slot machine mechanic of every roll has to be perfect and the chances of that happening are like one in a million (EDIT actually it's much, much higher than one in a million). It's like winning the lotto, you might have a punt every day for decades and never win the jackpot, you might buy a ticket once and score big, and anywhere in-between. A godly rare with like Fool's mod, Cruel, Of Carnage etc and rolling with more than one socket would be insane. Also surely crafted items would count for 'rare only'? Crafted items ARE rare, they're just rares you create. There's an idea for you if you ever want to revisit this idea: add crafted items to the mix or do a Crafted Only run.

Yeah I've seen some absolutely nuts rares over the years. But for this run it just wasn't happening. My best items were that frost nova helm and the 30 ias truncheon :') I'll put out a poll to see if more people think crafted count. I did think about it but decided to go yellow only
