This (along with part one) is by far the most compelling, reflective Rik Mayall interview I have ever seen. Excellent.

"Where's the middle aged hero?" Oh, Rik. You didn't realize. It was you all along.

What made Rik so compelling was his total lack of ego. He was so brilliant, so unique but yet had absolutely no ego about it. Absolutely zero self awareness, which ultimately is what made him such an incredible performer. It's such a rarity to find people so utterly talented who are in the public eye who have a lack of ego as Rik did. Very much missed.

Think he had both a no- ego and a super- ego in some respect. Much too handsome to not enjoy it to the full for example. Other areas as well.❤

Loved watching Rick being himself & expressing what gave him joy, sadly missed

In all the interviews I’ve seen, I’ve NOT seen THIS version of Rik. It’s like there was Rik: The Personality and then there’s THIS guy. This is amazing to see

There are times when I like his interviews more than his work. They are about 20 to 30 on the whole. Each one is a treasure on its own. Ever lustened to the audio ones ? Some hilarious ones together with Ade! And they never get old, that's the best about them!❤❤❤

I am 50 years old and grew up watching Rik and Ade. Rest in peace Rik. Total legend.

Thanks for this. I find this interview completely mesmerizing (and I think the interviewer does too - see the looks on his face throughout) Rik was so expressive - in the words he chose, in his voice, his face and gestures.. Its extremely interesting to hear him discussing his work, and comedy in general so seriously - that's rare! I miss him..

Very annoyed that I have only just seen this!! Thank you for posting. Wonderful. One of his best interviews. Largely because the interviewer was very good and just let Rik Speak.

11:32 Rik expression of excitement in classical music was so funny. He was so serious, and yet can still be so child like. I miss him so much. Just listening to his thoughts has been comforting.

I would have loved to have seen Rik done an audience with pierce Morgan, there would have been so much to talk about his career. Sadly we'll never see that :( We miss you Rik, RIP

winstoneism I know what you mean, it made me cry too badly. I was grieving for months. I prayed to god that he has mercy on his soul. He seems like a big impact on a lot of people. I missed the beautiful guy

In Rik's autobiography, he reveals in depth his near-death experience (clinically dead for five days), which is the whole point of the book, he stated. If his brain provided the same opiates the second time around, then it's a comfort to know that he died feeling peaceful, calm, warm, safe, etc.

He is cunning en saw the threath in the question of how old he is and hit him with the power of the devil and took Chez Chavares in the conversation to shoot his head of in action, gives reaction , and that reaction was not there if the action was not concealed in his 3dimensional right-winged thought! I love that kind of cunning and keen. To hell with his killers!
