at 2:48 , Only this genius could turn a phrase into a classic with his voice and wicked facial expressions that many will never forget. You can see he was born to be on the stage. This was a one-off charity event held in Nether Wallop (which nobody had heard of before or since) as an "alternative" New Year's Eve TV to the White Heather Club with Andy Stewart in the mid-80's. It ran for about 4 hours, pseudo documentary on Nether Wallop, brilliant show from Billy Connolly was for me the star attraction. Many many acts appeared. The show was staged in a hastily put together marquee in a field or the local Village Hall. Can't quite remember. Got hazy towards the end as my then wife got more and more pissed off (she didn't enjoy any of the humour) and I got more and more drunk. (She went to bed before 12 !!!). I loved it, best show ever.
