I know you didn't mention this name, but hashtag southern humor would certainly include him, but have you ever heard Lewis Grizzard?

Do you happen to know which show she did the Garth Brooke’s fan story, then later mentions coming home from a tour and his wife leaving tissues over the dog’s accidents and saying it looks like a mini camp out for GB’s concert? Of course those aren’t the right/exact phrasing but it’s been years and can’t remember exactly.

Thanks for uploading this. I found this album in an A&W in Oklahoma while i was driving from SC to CA. It got stolen in 2006 along with 1000 other cds. Its hard to find now

My first exposure to Ron White and Jeff Foxworthy was from Laughing Hyena; Truck Stop Comedy series cassette tapes, which I purchased in truck stops, and played while driving my big truck. I used to listen to both, before most of the country had heard of them.

First time I ever heard Ron White it was this CD. I bought it in the discount bin at a truck stop, because as a trucker it gets boring on the road. I had no idea it was such a classic till the first time I played it.

That’s what a lot of comics do, reuse jokes till you make it big, he might do these older jokes in small venues but look at all his specials after his first one, he doesn’t reuse jokes.

👍👍👍 Thanks!!! Amazing how after, like Great Humorists, he’s Polished his Delivery & Art to Perfection! Always LOVED his “ … Honey???… the Smoke Alarm is NOT a Cooking Timer!..” These days, “ Self-Proclaimed “ So-Called ‘ Comedians’ want Instant $$$ & Fame! Without Appreciating all the Steps Up that Ladder the GREATEST Today/s ‘STARS & Headliners ‘ & Years of Tirelessly Paying their Dues those like Ron White, Gervais, Luis K., Steven Wright, Chappell, Red - Neck Larry/ Engvail, Seinfeld, etc.,, had to pay for YEARS to be Appreciated today. And 🙏🏼 those like Robbin Williams , Lenny Bruce, Gilda Radner, Andy Kaufman, Madeline Kahn, etc.; who had their lives & talents cut short. Thanks again. ( Also Ron’s “ Jabber-Gulch “ Skit!)

@@bigwilly8199 I miss 20 years ago, when I could've assumed even young adults were kidding when they said that. But alas, the last major 8-track release was in 1988 - when I would've just been getting old enough to go buy one myself. :) But yes, this was a cassette. Even if you didn't own this, you can tell by the layout. On an 8-track Ron's picture would be perpendicular to the "spine" bar, not parallel to it. 8-track labels are in portrait layout on the front and back, whereas the back of cassette case inserts only have room for landscape layout.
